I'm making him come to the forums and appeal it so he hopefully learns a lesson to not do stupid things like this when he knows better.
also saying radio spam is an understatement when my client crashed from it a few seconds later and it's warops and he decides this is funny.
he also screamed something about icepacks/brycepax before, so w/e.

I was under the impression that radio spam just made you valid unless it literally crashes the server, but its not been made clear how spammy it was. Could be good for a policy thread if it hasn't already been discussed

We got multiple ahelps about server lag and client crashes/lag relating to a different radio spammer. It definitely does affect players when there's sufficient spam.

basically making him appeal this is more of "get over here and explain what you did wrong and do not ever do that again" than "actually permabanning him for non crashing radio spam (even though I lagged out from it but that's my bad for running too much shit on a laptop.)". I don't see the issue as I've already lowered the ban and edited his notes to match. Really though, this is just a stupid move, there's no reason to be spamming radio, he knows better, it's in the rules, it's common sense.

Problem with that is that massive amounts of spam can also happen when admins aren't around so this behavior should be discouraged like other behavior that will net you a ban or other consequences.

Radio spam makes you valid yes, but most people who spam are smart enough to hide somewhere where you cannot find them as a regular player unless you tear down the entire station.

It's not just the lagging aspect, it also drowns out vital information which can lead to mistakes being made by other players.

Almost all forms of spam are bad, and depending on how far it goes, it is indeed bannable.

EDIT: also wanted to clarify that I agree with people saying "he obviously hasn't learned" and that's what I was trying to point out - making "u mad bro??" images when you get a slap on the wrist and an admin asks you to stop is a one way ticket to make people dislike you, and it shows that you really don't give a damn what the admins say

if deitus actually had a valid defense about doing this stuff and posted it, then sure, you could argue that kevinz was being a bit harsh, but "lol stop telling me how to have fun!!" type shit doesn't help your case

This tbh, I'm all for sig memes but saying that Kevin hates fun because he daybanned you for spamming shows he has learned literally nothing from this, and that he will only not spam because he knows he'll get in trouble with the big mean admemes instead of knowing it's just a shitty thing to do
