Your side of the story:

1) I am accused of disconnecting from the server during an admin interaction, but as the logs will show, I was still logged in at the moment of the ban. I live in the woods of bumfuck alabama and have poor connection, having to reconnect several times during that round and the one preceding it; the disconnect was not my choice, and I logged back in within half of minute. I presume the administrator, having been notified of my disconnect, was also notified of my reconnect; he or she made no effort to either answer my previous query, "I'm sorry, are you accusing me of breaking a rule and if so which one", nor to reach out and confirm that I was still online. I waited for a good two minutes of silence, it felt like, and then was summarily booted.

2) I am accused of lying in the ahelps, but as the logs will show, I was not questioned at any point on any statement that I made, and was thus deprived of any opportunity to defend myself in the case of a misunderstanding.

3) I am accused of welderbombing the bar, which is partially true, if you consider the handful of tiles in the closet attached to the bar to be the bar itself. A true welderbombing, however, requires the intent to grief; my intent was to escape the closet I was trapped in by unwelding the frame of the thing and disassembling it. Considering the depth of the systems in this game, my expectation was not unreasonable. In my opinion it is more unreasonable that the thing should have exploded.

Why you think you should be unbanned:

Having one hour of playtime on the server, I believe, is a mitigating rather than condemning circumstance. New players should not be expected to know all of the interactions between parts in this game of deep, complex, and perpetually evolving systems. My complaint is against the procedure of the ban and its length; I was not notified that I was being investigated for any particular breach of the rules, and furthermore upon analysis of the rules, it would be a stretch to say that my actions fell under rule one.

A permaban for an accidental welderbombing with an hour of connect time, total, on the server, is a bit much. It should be reserved for more serious cases of serial griefing and egregious rule breaking. Not for me.

I was actually talking with Ricky Spyroshark at the time of these ahelps. You do understand how awful it looks when a player comes on the server to have the first thing they do be welderbombing and calling people jews, right?

Spyroshark saw you attempting to kill the bartender multiple times and then you failed and killed yourself with a welderbomb. I don't know what kind of moral high ground you're trying to establish here but I don't think you're helping yourself by not apologizing. Additionally, the fact that it happened with so little server time is completely why we should not overlook it since it took you less than an hour to cause trouble in the server and not apologize for it. Even if you didn't know, this is not the attitude you should be having when you cause trouble.

My administrators do a good job and should not have to deal with people who heckle them because they're just doing their job. If an individual such as yourself acts like this, I do not see a place for you in this server.
