Your side of the story: I was upset that i was killed and felt that my death should have been justified instead i got a ban for something i didn't even know i was committing. I've checked the logs and seen that what i was killed for was unfair i didn't know that you needed HoS or Captain permission to make a mech and lied to try to make one. I don't know how this makes my death valid due to the fact that the person that killed me (Kaitlyn Fleming) was doing nothing to get me out other then asking me to leave. They could have gotten security, HoS, captain. To ask me to leave but she didn't and took things into her own hands and shot a missile at me making me believe she was a traitor trying to kill me so i shot back.
Why you think you should be unbanned: I play over 6 hours a day on sybil and tend to try to get away from doing things that will get me a boink. I do my best to keep to my self and avoid having to robust people. I don't believe my ban was not justified and didn't have evidence against me to make a ban like this. Ive never heard of ban baiting before and got banned for it. I ahelp when i think a death isn't justified and in this case i don't think it was. I get upset when i die in ss13 im not going to lie. So when i know somebody is getting let off the hook for killing me i get up set and try to make a point to the admin that im talking to. I play to much on the server to just wait a month. Im sorry for what i did or what ever i did but i didn't intend on ban baiting i was just up set that i was killed in the middle of making a mech. Thank you.

Ban Baiting is the practice of provoking other players into attacking/harming/killing you or some other similar result and then ahelping when the player acts on your provocation in an effort to have the admins protect you from your own bad behavior or choices.

I play a lot and you guys need to understand that i get into a lot of problems with different people you can't take that as ban baiting. When i play over 6 hours a day maybe even more then that.

were you a roboticist, or did you in fact break into their department and start messing with and using their stuff then refuse to leave because if so you weren't just killed for "making a mech and not listening to them", you were killed for "breaking into someone's department, refusing to leave, then using that department's resources to arm yourself up with a lethal weapon" which makes you valid as fuck

escalation policy has pretty much always allowed people to defend themselves against trespassers in their departments with significantly more force than elsewhere, and stealing from their department very much makes you the instigator in any conflict that arises

After a while, I talked with some other admins on adminbus and consulted with them about this. This is not the first incident of you being a dick and ahelping about it after you get rightfully killed, so I decided to lay down the hammer.

That was a long wall of text, but tldr: The escalation was completely valid, and you've been an overall dick since I first ran into you. I've denied this appeal pending headmin review, but I hope this explains my reasoning behind the ban a bit more.

Not being aware of our rules does not justify breaking them.

Quoting our rule 7:

Baiting people into situations where you can report them to admins will be dealt with harshly.

Regarding the fox problem, this a headmin ruling that you can find linked in the rule list:

Validity when killing pets: If you perform an action which has zero benefit to you other than making others upset (like killing Ian) I will ban you if you adminhelp when someone kills you.

I believe Plapatin's ruling on this is spot on. It followed proper escalation policy while you also managed to act obnoxiously about it both IC and on ahelps.

So, about the headmin involvement you wanted: this appeal is denied. I'm locking the thread now. Please take this time to reflect on your playstyle and read the rules again.
