BYOND account: Buggy1234
Character name: A'min Delp
Ban type: Role ban (chemist)
Ban length: Permanent
Ban reason: "The ban reason is: He literally asked for it."
Time ban was placed: "This ban (BanID #32398) was applied by Jerry Derpington on 2018-01-13 01:26:49 during round ID 81815."
Server you were playing on when banned: Bagil
Round ID in which ban was placed: round ID 81815
Your side of the story:
It was a while ago, so I don't remember the exact sequence of events. There is a related dayban that explains the context:
"Banned for 1440 minutes - Failed a suicide attempt with a powerful grenade, blowing someone up and causing heavy damage to departures/escape."
If i'm remembering correctly, I had a emergency black powder voice analyser grenade, and I activated it unintentionally, blowing up at least one innocent person. As is my policy whenever I fail substantially at a job, regardless of the actual rule-breakingness or not of the failure, I requested a permanent job-ban. From the ban text, I'm guessing that Jerry Derpington didn't intend to apply a job ban (or at least not a permanent one) otherwise, but I honestly can't remember.
Why you think you should be unbanned:
In general, I wouldn't ask to be unbanned from one of these because, as I see it, if I fuck up that badly I don't deserve to play the job anymore. However, chemists have changed substantially; it's basically a completely different thing (plumbing) with the same name, and medical doctors have taken over the old role of chemists. So my self-imposed reason doesn't apply anymore. And my understanding is that self-requested bans are also lifted on request, so there's no reason for the ban to stay.
