Your side of the story: I'd killed my fellow chef cooworker after he'd started throwing himself into a state of rage and had started beating me up after I took some of the ingredients he was using for cake and deep fried them. No admins at the time had bwoinked me for it because it was quite obvious what had happened and how I was right. I had choked out the fellow chef and butchered him, seeing as how he'd started using judo moves to kick my ass in the kitchen, nearly killing me. Even as I was running away, he tried to block me off and kept on trying to robust me. And then I'd kept a clean the nose for the entirety of the round until we got all into the escape pod. Everybody in the escape pod had gotten giddy, we were making fart jokes, etc. People were robusting eachother, another guy opened the pod door as it was in space because people were making fart jokes, etc. It turned into a sort of battle-royale, which was good clean fun, as we were all dying of plasma anyway, and of which all people from within the shuttle had taken part of. This was seconds before round ended. Everyone was dying, everyone was fighting, everyone was having fun. Sure everything I did could potentially look bad in the logs, but when placed in context it all makes sense and isn't something banworthy nor even something inherently bad. The only other instance of "assault" apart from these two is the instance in which I'd robusted the mime after he'd started throwing a monkey at me multiple times, then had crawled into the kitchen. In that case I had choked him out and threw him out of the kitchen. That is it.
Why you think you should be unbanned: The entire ban was taken out of context and (understandably) no investigation was put into it. When placed into context everything is simply understandable and all out right.

So firstly you say you killed your fellow chef? Well on Manuel we don't have the usual escalation policy:

For example, this means you shouldn’t immediately escalate to murder when someone refuses to leave a certain area or give back something they stole

Self-defence is allowed to the extent of saving your own life.
Putting someone into critical condition is considered self-defence only if they attempted to severely harm or kill you. Preemptively disabling someone, responding with disproportionate force, or hitting someone while they are already downed is not self-defence. Fistfights and the like are acceptable, assuming that both players have a reasonable justification as to why the fight started. Assault without any warning is almost always unacceptable in most circumstance

There was no point where the other chef was close to killing you (you reached a low of 82hp). A lack of bwoinks at the time doesn't mean what you were doing was right, thats not how it works. But it seems fairly obvious you still don't see why it was wrong. The escape shuttle wasn't "good clean fun" no one else attacked you and it can't have been all that accepted by the others as a lot of them almost immediately ahelped when you began attacking them. In the same way as we don't allow shuttle grief on any of our servers before the shuttle docks and is punished for such actions. But this is Manuel, we expect more from it and if you can't abide by these extra rules then you get punished, with consequences on ALL our servers because of it.

So not only did you escalate things beyond whats reasonable in any of our servers you pushed even further with the killing and gibbing on our higher roleplay server.
Not to mention the obvious self antaging and the straight up just attacking random people for no reason.
At this point I'm not convinced that you have intention of changing let along understand why what you did was wrong. I don't see how I can remove this ban without risk of you spoiling peoples rounds again on Manuel.

There were about 15 people in the pod and I was focusing on getting the guy who opened the door out of the pod, despite constant movement in the shuttle and everyone else attacking eachother. Nobody in that shuttle was roleplaying and everyone was having good clean fun. I think everybody in that shuttle had done something ban worthy and I DO NOT BLAME them for it because I understood the atmosphere at the time. When placed in context I'd say everyone could be acquitted of what they did at the time. And even after round end everybody who was part of the shuttle and died made jokes about it and had a good time. This is a victim less crime.

And so yeah, these are my general retorts or explanations. I see my mistakes in the chef saga for escalating after he'd punched me around for quite a good time, and I'd thought that feeding the other chef's meat to the detective would make for great RP (akin to lamb to the slaughter), yet I'd not considered the round removal aspect. And for the second pod saga, I still do not see the wrong in my crimes, when considering the context.

You say you didn't fight back but the logs clearly show you grabbed them and then CQC'd them. I'll come to the finality in a moment.
You say the gibbbing crossed your mind, well then it must have been a truely fleeting moment as barely 10 seconds passed, with less than a minute between stabbing them to death and the gibbing taking place (presumably as you dragged the body into the back room).
The issue is at any time you could have stopped this and talked to security, explained yourself, get them revived and arrested, hell you could have even restrained them when they were in crit. But you did none of this.

I just don't see how you can justify going from fart jokes to stabbing people. In fact you were the ONLY one making them, other people were talking about the end of shift, one person even asked you about the other chef's murder. All you responded with was disgusting fart jokes. Literally only you. In fact it seems like everyone else was trying to ignore your use of emotes. The door seemed to be opened and then closed and welded around the time of the lauch so I'm not really sure how that justifies anything you did.
You say nobody on that shuttle was roleplaying but that is thoroughly untrue, at least two of the people were talking about the shift they had just done, perfectly in character.
YOU just wanted to screw the situation up, one person even told you to "shut the fuck up" about your disgusting emotes, but when no body responded you started attacking people.
The logs clearly show you were the first to attack anyone on that shuttle. Which then caused others to start joining in.

Ultimately you seem to think removing people from the round who are attacking you is justified. And by that merit, I think I'm justified removing someone who attacks people for no reason, from our servers.

And so this is a permanent ban? This is clearly my first violation on Manual.

You seem to be very resistant against the atmosphere in the pod saga, and I simply do not understand it. Nobody had ahelped me on the pod and I had not ahelped the people who had literally opened the door of the pod mid flight, launching them out and killing them. That is what had prompted me to start trying to kill the door opener, and amid the 15 person chaos, I may have had accidentally stabbed innocents. I do not understand how you do not understand, please inform me.

And by not attacking the chef, I mean he hit me multiple times, following me as I was running away, then literally blocked the door and continued to hit me, before I finally decided to fight back. I do say that the gibbing was excessive, yet isn't there a first time for everything? I regret the gibbing of the chef and the serving of him to the security force. I'd tried to use Manuel rules coming from Bagil, and I'd slightly misinterpreted them.

I do not think that either the escape pod people or the chef had ahelped me, because they had been in the context of it all.

And so correct me if I'm wrong.

We don't operate a 3 strikes and your out thing here. You killed several people within that round and there are other things that have been brought to light around this. The length is TBC right now until we decided whats best for everyone.

I am resistant because it seems to have only been you that felt that way given the logs. Im not sure where you got the idea that no body ahelped, but they did, which is why we ended up investigating it. Again, by this stage you started stabbing people. Not only did you not just attack one people you straight up killed several. Im still amazed that you think eveyone was having a good time with you stabbing them?!

The chef did indeed hit you, I agree that something should have been done, like calling security, beating them up, putting them to sleep, hell even critting them, or actually AHELPING. But no, you murdered them to death and gibbed them and fed their body to security?!

Did you just ignore the fact that I was trying to kill the person who opened the door to the pod mid flight, again? Please consider that fact. I was only trying to get him from within the pod.

And as for the chef, note taken. Do not gib. My apologies for the mistake in decision making.

So my crimes are being bad aim with a knife targeted at someone who opened the pod door mid flight, and gibbing someone who started robusting me instead of the right action of bringing them to med. So what is the case now?

I was in the escape pod when this happened and was also attacked.
I can only imagine most people like me were uncertain on how to react as Rotciv started saying the most disgusting shit he could come up with which is what I assume he would classify as quality roleplaying, such as

Most people in the pod had gone dead silent at this point, there definitely wasn't any "robusting and dying to plasma" going on until Rotciv started attacking people at random and eventually someone plasmaflooded the pod.
I'd also like to point out that not once did I move throughout the ordeal, somehow still got stabbed several times in a row so I have no reason to believe Rotciv was actually making an effort to hit whoever he was aiming for rather than just swinging at random people.
I question whether he even knows who he was trying to hit for unwelding the door, so far he hasn't mentioned.

I've consider it, but given that killing the person wouldn't actually solve the problem of the door being open, nor would it excuse the fact you stabbed everyone else as well, I feel its irrelevant.
Its like saying "I only meant to kill this one guy but I guess stabbing everyone else in the room was a mistake oh well". It still makes you that one dick who stabbed everyone on a very rocky ground to begin with.

Given its now got to the point where the ban length is being considered, I feel that we should probably bring in feedback from other admins as a fair amount has been thrown around in the adminbus about your want to disrupt and hurt people throughout many games.

I'd been targeting Naenia and they were in resting position and moving from side to side.

And as for the "going silent", by my game experience and the logs that was not the case. Looking through the logs only you had only said two things in the shuttle. You had not said a single word after I'd initially started the bean jokes.

The rest of the shuttle was saying shit like "ROTCIV YES", "DON'T YOU DARE VOMIT ON THIS POD", "ROTCIV NO!!", "ROTCIV, GOT DAMMIT", "I ain't dealing with your indigestion, motherfucker", "Rotciv YES", "Good thing I can't smell it with this suit on", ""ROT IF YOU DONT SHUT IT I WILL UNWELD THIS DOOR AND SPACE US ALL!", "ROT, I'LL FUCKING END YOU ONCE WE ARRIVE AT CENTCOM", "OH GOD", you get the gist. I personally found the comments to be humorous and the entire situation funny which kept me at it. If I had gotten an indication that someone seriously hated the RP which the majority did not, I would have stopped. The entire pod was coughing and sneezing, which I had mocked by gagging, which went on to them telling me not to vomit in a humorous way, which had led me to pretending that I ate beans.

And yeah, killing and gibbing of the chef were a bit reaching, albeit I was going to gib in both scenarios. That was a blunder.

One person, you managed to find the ONE person that said Rotciv YES twice. Again this simply doesn't excuse what you did in the end. You're using barely "roleplay" as an excuse for simply attacking people. As I've said multiple times this doesn't fly on any of our servers!

Unless someone brings something else to light to the oppose what ive seen in these logs and heard of you in other rounds. Or for some reason a headmin overrules it.
I do not believe you add anything to the server, the game or the community. I believe you only have your own self interest at heart and you can barely even show any acknowledgement that what you did was wrong. I simply don't see why you should be allowed to spoil the game for others for your own self antagonising benefit.
