(Skoglol) Laughability - Lagging deadchat and OOC with unicode

Postby laughability » Thu Jul 09, 2020 8:31 am #568769

BYOND account: Laughability
Character name: Vivian Semenov
Ban type: Server
Ban length: Permanent
Ban reason: Lagged deadchat with unicode, once told it lagged everyone out did the same in OOC. OOC is a privilege, not a right.
Time ban was placed: 2020-07-09 08:13:34
Server you were playing on when banned: Bagil
Round ID in which ban was placed: 141514
Your side of the story: I was watching a wizard, out of boredness a dumb idea popped up in my head. Lag the server with unicode. I proceeded to start spamming emojis both in deadchat and ooc. Shortly my client crashed, the second time i joined in , my client crashed. I tried rejoining but i got banned.
Why you think you should be unbanned: I want to return to /tg/station, and i promise i won't do dumb shit like this anymore. Yes, this ban is fully justified, but i ask for a second chance.

This wasnt intended to be a server permaban. I have edited the ban, and it is now an OOC and deadchat ban as originally intended.

Lagging the server (and lagging out every single client connected is basically that) has historically carried with it pretty heavy punishment. Knowing this, and with the ban amended to OOC and deadchat, do you still wish to appeal it?
