Your side of the story: Hey Admins, I think this may be a bit of an understanding... See, this is my first time successfully utilizing Nanites within the game, and I was experimenting with various Nanite programs. Unfortunately, my curiosity got the better of me and I accidentally ended up making basically a feedback loop that forced the crew to say... well, you can read it in the ban details. Anyways, it was never my intention to force everyone who had nanites to repeat this phrase, and in hindsight even if it didn't result the entire crew chanting it on repeat, the phrase is still highly inappropriate.
Why you think you should be unbanned: I know that I have been warned about this kind of behavior in the past, but I feel like a 48 hour server ban is a little overboard for the context of this ban. I hope you can understand. I think a shorter server ban, or even just a scientist job ban, would bee more appropriate. You won't see any more of this kind of behavior from me ever again if this ban gets appealed.
References of good conduct: /tg/ is my favourite ss13 server to play on and it would be a real shame to have to wait 2 days before I can play again. My life is already so busy that I hardly get any time to play on here as it is.

Oh shit, I just read up on rule 11. I actually had no idea that this rule existed before. Sorry guys. It must be a new rule since I have been playing on here a lot longer than it has been instated. Now I understand what this ban is all about

Ok so at this point pretty much every admin on /tg/ has looked at this thread and so far I've been the only one to reply to it. Can one of you please give me a solid answer as to whether or not this is going to get appealed or not? Or maybe I just don't know how the appeal process works on the forums? Either way, please help me out so I'm not hanging out in the dark. Thanks

As you've already come to the conclusion, yeah you pretty cleanly broke rule 11. I'm glad that you at least read the rules after the fact, but as it stands yeah, this is a pretty clean ban for something you willingly admit to have done. That said, it's a super light ban but still something you were talked to about a few days before, which didn't spurn you to check out the rules between you getting that other note.

I'd say it stands, and it'll be over before you know it.

I just want to emphasize here the fact that I didn't fully understand the abilities of Nanites when I was playing around with them as a scientist. If I had known that this phrase would be shouted on repeat in a feedback loop from every crew member that had nanites, I would not have used the phrase that I did.

In addition, when I was issued a warning about my previous infraction, the note never explicitly referenced Rule 11, so there could have been no way that I knew about it unless I went to the rules page. I just assumed that the warning fell under Rule 1 instead.

Again, I feel that a 48 hour ban for an offense of this nature is a little bit of an overreach, even if (and this is not the case) I knowingly and intentionally broke rule 11. Please reconsider this ban.

Your knowledge of how nanites work is not relevant - you knowingly and intentionally broke a rule by your own admission and seemingly still don't understand why what you did was wrong in the first place.

You are not allowed to be bigoted on our servers. You were bigoted on our servers. Ergo, you were banned.
