They then left the victim's body in the hallway with no intent to take them to medbay until bwoinked. Claims their victim is metagrudging them, no evidence of that happening this shift and this player was the first to shove and the first to escalate to violence, which immediately ended lethally. Player showed zero understanding for how their actions were problematic and against the server rules. Applying 48 hour ban for an unjust killing, escalated from 24 hours due to the player's attitude in ahelps and an expiring note placed on 2021-02-13 for this exact kind of behaviour.

Your side of the story: I was playing sybil when this player called slimdick jim was putting glasstables in the hallway. I got annoyed an axed him to death. This player has ahelped me every time I killed him, even lying or being dishonest (in a seperate instance he accidentally attacked me, I retaliated, then in an Ahelp he claimed I walked in front of him and put him in crit, which according to logs was not true) to try to banbait. I got bwoinked, and an admin asked why I did it. I told him that I knew this would happen and told him that this was not the first time he's done something like this. He noted that I did not bring him to medbay, which I told him I would, but the body was already there. Then he walked around the fact that the aforementioned player was just trying to banbait me (which he claimed there was no evidence of), and then I asked him what else he wanted me to do because I did all I could, and I got banned.
Why you think you should be unbanned: I think being banned for 'attitude' is a bit excessive. I wasn't being a smartass, I was sincere and honest, and I didn't insult timbertoes. He also said there was "no evidence of him metagrudging this round", Which I don't know how something like that would even be possible, especially considering metagrudging is a multi-round occurence. I also offered to resolve the situation by bringing him back to medical, but timber kept bringing up the fact I killed him without proper escalation. And he banned me after I asked what else he wanted me to do, since I did everything In my power to try to resolve it. I admit I took things too far by killing them for placing tables all over the hallways, (which could've technically been considered griefing, but that's irrelevant) But to claim that I gave you attitude in admin pms, then to ban me for an entire day just for that, is a stretch.

At 02:21 you shove Uzedpickle onto a table, kick him and shove him. This is the first combat interaction either of you have had the whole shift.
At 02:36 you then shove him again.
At 02:38 you hit him with your mop.
At 02:39 he shoves you once. You retalite with a fireaxe. He shoves you again, you retalite with a fireaxe. He shoves you a third time and you proceed to beat him to death and then keep on hitting well beyond his death. You leave his body in the hallway.

I can see no evidence of metagrudging in this incident. You were the first person to resort to physical actions, he shoved you back after this you just cut him down with a fireaxe in the hallways.

I want to also emphasise that breaking the rules when you think someone else is breaking the rules is not an excuse. This was textbook poor escalation. You have an expiring note 2 days ago for exactly this kind of poor decision making leading to you killing a player:

Caught on that a clown may have intended to spam IC radio with holopads from past rounds actions by them. Turned on a radio at the holopads, blamed them, and beat them death. Please don't jump the gun on this kind of thing.

You have an active Security ban around your conduct which included starting a fight.

Banned from Roles: Head of Security, Warden, Detective, Security Officer for 7 days - As head of security started a fight with someone, then stripped, cuffed and straight jacketed them and carted them around the station for ten minutes, when the subject was finally let go they comitted suicide

You refused to accept any culpability for your own actions in the ahelp ticket. You are responsible for the actions you carry out and you alone.

Ordinarily you will be met with a 24 hour server ban for each unjust killing.

Because of your lack of understanding about how poor your actions were, because I found no evidence of this player metagrudging you, because you initiated fights first and then immediately escalated to killing for a player shoving you, and because of your history within the past 2 days as I have outlined above, I increased this ban up to 48 hours.

I will not be accepting this appeal and I will be upholding the full duration of this 2 day ban.
