However, I'll explain what happened and why you got banned but I'm not log diving for it


Assistant is in the bridge hallway (between the 2 sets of double doors), not entirely on the bridge, 2 security officers stun and cuff him, upon seeing he has some cursed katana arm, you yell at them to cut it off, then drag said assistant away from both security members, drag the assistant to medbay, and perform surgery on him to remove the arm

At no point, did the assistant here consent to it, ask for it, and had done absolutely nothing to you that I could see

When you are just about done with the surgery, I PM you because this seems to have gotten a little overboard asking why you felt the need to cut his arm off against his will, thinking perhaps, there was a good reason for it

Your reply was "had a 40 brute weapon aa"

At this point the assistant gets up and attacks you, and you retaliate and get him into deep crit

At this point, I smited you and gibbed you, I will apologise for that, that was not necessary, however, you were 1-2 hits from killing the assistant at this point

When I explain that I was going to ban you, you reply with "first he was breaking into bridge in my point of view he was a baddie trying to steal shit so i try to remove his weapon of mass chaos"

Now I'm not exactly sure how a cursed katana is a weapon of mass chaos and why you, as a clown, felt the need to remove it from the assistant doing nothing to you, and attempt to kill him when he understandably retaliates against you for cutting his arm off


I'm also going to mention you have a significantly long list of notes and bans, being 27 notes / 22 bans, since the end of August last year

The assistant was using it to break down Bridge doors, which was why he was arrested to begin with, and why one of the officers agreed with the plan to cut it off. Typically you remove weapons from people using them for dumb shit.

Wouldn't this be no different (except a little different since the item is NoDrop) than someone with a fireaxe breaking into somewhere and having the fireaxe taken away from them.

They were being arrested for B&E, and usually when you're arrested, the tools you use to commit the crime are confiscated from you and the only way to take a NoDrop item from someone is to amputate the arm or burn it off with acid/fire, and I'm about 90% positive the katana is acidproof and fireproof.

Criminals don't usually get to consent to punishment, that's kind of the point. Seems like killbait on the part of the katana wielder to fight back against people after just using a very griefy weapon to break into secure areas and having it taken away after being arrested.

I mean I think this discussion is better served in a different thread rather than here but I'll give you both the quick answer

The offending player here was a clown, not security, nor command, and wordlessly took the assistant away from security and command who had him restrained and under control

There was no need to intervene, if security or command had taken the guy and taken his arm off, that would be a different story here, but the issue here is that the clown dragged him away, cut his arm off, and THEN attempted to murder him when he fought back against it

Security players have non-lethal weapons to deal with such situations, and do you honestly believe a player is justified in being murdered for breaking a single bridge door by someone not even involved?

Anyway I made my decision, unless the headmins want to overrule, if you feel a pressing need to discuss why you believe it's in error, go make a peanut thread like a good boy
