Your side of the story: i gulaged a guy for fireaxing into the bridge as a medical doctor, he came back 20 minutes later and batonged me while i was dying of a sentient virus, then stole all my shit and welded me in a locker, proceeded to talk alot of shit and i got a lil irritated
Why you think you should be unbanned : first of all i would like to say that i was not the one who began the "verbal abuse" (lol) the dude was gloating and talking shit about me ingame (which is funny because he owned me while i was blind) i also believe the things i said in ooc were relatively tame, if i remember correctly i called him a "mollusc" a "goblin in the sewers that eats rats" and a "cocksucker" none of which really strike me as offensive or harsh enough to warrant an ooc ban especially when i wasnt even the one who started the hostility

As far as I can tell from the say logs, he only really called you unrobust, and about the ragequit? Which sucks, and I shoulda seen them and knocked 'em for the ock ick, but the rest seems to be directed towards others.
For transparency, as I should have mentioned the history in the note: In the previous round (182258), I talked to FormorA about the ghosting situation, and the situation was handled, which you were told about. The ban is two weeks because, after it was handled, you continued to berate them in OOC, and tried to kill the player roundstart as non-antag. If it stopped with OOC, I wouldn't care. However, if you're going to pair being mean to people with just downright grudging them, I don't think you should be allowed to continue having access to OOC for a bit.
I updated your note to describe the situation better, but I don't see much reason to decrease the ban length. It's only OOC, it doesn't stop you from playing.

my problem with the ban is that i just dont think its necessary whatsover, i already received a game ban, getting like an additional ooc ban for being "mean" (he deserved it) just seems silly to me. but its not a big deal i guess whatever i'll eat the ban

Coffee, are you able to post the logs which prompted the notes behind this player's OOC ban?

It would be useful for both the headmins and the banned player in question to post their OOC conversation that netted them their 2 week OOC ban. My hope is that it clearly highlights exactly what they got OOC banned for a bit better than "continued to berate them in OOC" which is quite vague.

Some of these are pretty meh, it's more that he did this and then immediately grudged the guy roundstart. Also, in the ahelp, I find it worth mentioning Thomas didn't really say anything to defend himself except bemoan that he lost his attempt to grudge FormorA. I simply dislike seeing this rude behavior, and hope that this will help him to keep his cool if he can't get himself more worked up through OOC.

While I'm unhappy with Pan's behavior, you took it out of line and continued to dog the player past what are reasonable frustrations. I think you could stand to be nicer, and that this is a suitable punishment. I'm not interested in lowering it, given you've demonstrated little empathy or effort. This appeal is denied.
