BYOND account: PK_Sonikal
Character name: Harudaime
Ban type: AI, Cyborg
Ban length: 1 Day
Ban reason: Banned from Roles: silicon, AI, Cyborg for 24 hours - Directly attacked a human under asimov and indirectly caused their death with flashes around a mob. Wasn't aware that they were human but has been informed of silicon policy regarding disguised humans.
Time ban was placed: 2022-08-03 19:23:39
Server you were playing on when banned: Manuel
Round ID in which ban was placed: 187841
Your side of the story: I was doing art for most of the round. We had no Security and there was a traitor that had killed an assistant. I checked the manifest and thought it was the botanist, but I wasn't really sure. Cut to a few minutes later and the new aristocracy is chasing down the traitor. I hit the traitor with the piano once before immediately backing down and yelling "ARE YOU HUMAN". I saw them attack first, so I tried to flash them (to no avail). I was focused on her until she got downed, at which point I attempted to drag her back to medbay, but my grip was taken from me.
I was carried away by the chaos. I did want to defuse the situation by starting with the traitor (whom I believe could cause the most harm) and chose the wrong way to defuse the situation after Maia entered critical.
Why you think you should be unbanned: I had read silicon policy many times and I had missed the part where it said 'disguised people default as humans'. I had a mostly clean record, so I thought a ban was pretty rough. I'm appealing it because I believe it should be reduced to at least a blue and at most a yellow note.
References of good conduct: I've been playing for 37 rounds as AI and not once got in trouble. Last time I also had a note was at 108 hours and that was because I did not know any better. People mostly liked me as AI and I had good company that round. They like the art I made for the last few rounds and I want to get back with at least a scar, not a bleeding wound. Learning is what I'm good at, and this is a lesson I won't forget.
Anything else we should know: I want to improve as an artist in the game, and I believe silicon is the best role to do this. (because of the infinite spray can)
