Your side of the story: Shaps questioned why I was in science as a non-antag when I have a science ban. I remember someone (if not an admin) that you are allowed to do the job if you do get the HoP to change it.
Why you think you should be unbanned: I wasn't aware this was considered ban evasion. When I look in the forums I thought ban evasion was switching username/Ip address or going to a higher role just to cause shit again.

Getting banned from science for making bombs and then picking some other job, asking the HoP for science access and continuing to make bombs is blatant ban evasion and you shouldn't have to be told that, but I decided to be very nice and let you off with a warning when I saw you doing it last night. You then said that an admin had explicitly okay'd the evasion but that you conveniently forgot not only which admin told you that, but also when they said it. I've combed through the adminhelp and OOC logs relating to you over the past couple of days and found no references to that, and no one in adminbus has said they told you that, so I'm left with the unfortunate conclusion that you were just lying to me to cover yourself. As it says in the ban note:

Evading their science permaban by going to the HoP and asking for a jobchange and continuing to make bombs. When confronted about this, they said that they were told by some admin in OOC that it was okay for them to dodge their ban, but they conveniently forgot which admin it was and when they said it. Nothing in the OOC logs from the past few days support this, and I don't know why an admin would support legitimate ban evasion, so this ban sticks pending an admin actually stepping up and saying they okay'd it

This ban will be staying in place unless another admin comes in and says they okay'd it.

This is correct, I can still manually search through the admin logs though. If you are 100% confident that there is a smoking gun message from an admin telling you it was okay to evade your science ban in there, I'll search the rest of the logs starting from the day you got banned two weeks ago. If such a message doesn't exist and I waste half an hour sorting through it all for nothing, I'll up the ban even further. Do you want me to look for it?

Gah, I thought what I was doing was completely fine because when I looked through the forums for ban evasion appeals, usually it's for going a higher roll such as captain and abusing that to grief some more. Or it's a serverban overall and they use a different account + ip address to dodge their ban.

Shaps. As a note. I can't remember who it was anymore, but I do recall one time I ahelped, I was told that as long as I legally get promoted to a jobbanned position, I may play it as long as I do not violate any rules as that job. But in the event that rules are violated, I would get a much harsher punishment(like a permaban). This was back when I was banned from HoP. Though said admin is probably no longer around, I do recall it. So it might be possible someone did give Yackem similar permission.

Problem is that I don't remember which DAY it was. it was somewhere between my medbay boom unbanning and like 2-3 days prior to this.

I had MSO give me the entire month logs for both February and March and poured over them for about 2 hours. I scanned every single admin-pm sent to you and scanned every single thing you said in OOC. Nowhere did I find anything about an admin telling you could evade. That being said, I still haven't gone over and viewed every admin that talked in OOC for the days you talked about bombs, but I'm pretty sure you are just full of complete shit right now and I just wasted 2 hours of my life. You didn't ask me to do this but I just honestly wanted to know if you were telling the truth.

Here is what I got. I checked every day you played and got a couple of things.

• You brag about bombing and bombs a lot
• You are obsessed with your porn
• You pull statistics outta your ass a lot when talking about game balance
• You play every fucking day all day long jesus christ go outside

Below is a list of days between the days of Feb-16th to March 17th that you talked about bombs in anyway. Days were tossed if you didn't mention bombs. I'm not saying it still isn't possible you aren't lying, I'm just saying I narrowed it down a shit ton that this story is just complete bullshit. I'll probably review every OOC message from every admin for the month gap and probably still not come up with anything because my autism dictates that I want closure.

I seriously believe that someone told me that I can go to HoP to get science access to get back in science.

I can't just go up and falsely kiss your ass about being sorry for 'lying' when I firmly believe that I didn't lie.

Best thing I can learn from this experience is to screen cap anything and everything in the future and cover my ass.
