Why you think they should be banned: Bombed a room full of people as a non antagonist to get revenge on me.

Details: After upgrading the ore machine as a scientist doing R&D, I collect all the minerals, and put them in a locker to take back to R&D.
Godo the chemist then runs up, steals ALL the diamonds, and almost all the gold, and fucks off with them.

He turns it all into floor tiles and a statue for chemistry, meaning I can't do my damn job.
I ask for the diamonds back (I had a few bars of gold still), but he ignores me/tells me to fuck off.
I call for sec, but they just ignore me, so I decon the fridge and try to decon the diamond statue, to retrieve atleast some of the diamonds (he turned the rest into floor tiles).
He starts pushing me around/dragging the statue to stop me, and a sec officer finally arrives. I tell him what happened, he says there is no crime, then proceeds to arrest me and drag me to the brig, when I continue to try decon the statue.
After the QM frees me from the retarded officer, I go back to the chem lab, stab godo in the eyes until he falls down (NOT CRIT), then unsecure the statue and drag it back to R&D.

Literally like, half an hour later, after I distributed NVG's to fight the slings/upgrade all of medbay/other cute sci girl things, godo runs into R&D, where the RD, roboticist, another scientist and myself are all standing, and throws an explosive grenade at us.
The grenade blows a hold in R&D, destroying most of the machines, killing me, himself and severely wounding the others.
He then proceeds to crow about it in deadchat.


So yeah. Not valid escalation (especially since he's the fuck that stole from me to start with), and even if it was he was a non antag bombing a room full of people.

Not to mention that stealing something as vital for science as gold and diamonds for no real reason (already a dick move), and then jumping to bombing the victim they stole from (and their entire department of course) when they try to get their stuff back is awful and reeks of killbaiting. Even without the collateral damage I'd say that's pretty bad

I feel like there should be some recompense for what happened. The first part alone is spoiling someone's game FNR with consequences that others will be spoilt (due to lack of research). Which then jumped to it directly spoiling many peoples game, most of which weren't even involved (due to the bombing).

As far as I can see we'd punish someone for bombing as a non-antag in almost every situation (except maybe for a successful wiz bomb), I see no reason to make this an exception for what is essentially a bunch of dick moves (if the chemist didn't think that wasting those resources would cause a reaction from the RD then, then I don't know...)

Forgive me for being on the U.S. timezone, but I was unable to answer it in time before I was banned and the thread was locked. I'd rather not be, but I won't make a big fuss over a day and a half ban. But if you want to hear my side of the story, here you go:

As a chemist, I have access to the ore redemption machine. I went over there to gather some bling, at the same time as Lumi. We both went for the gold and diamonds and I just happened to pick them up first. She throws a huge hissy fit about it, somewhat understandably I admit, but what happened afterwards isn't entirely so. First she yells at me to give them back, after I've started the process of gilding my chem lab. I say no, and she demolishes the chem fridge (preventing people from getting the medicine I made, just saying... lives could have been at stake because of that). I non-violently dragged the diamond statue away from her, and she starts attacking me. A sec officer saves my ass because, again, I can't do anything about it without invoking admin wrath. Then she waits until my mind is distracted (looking up chem recipes, technically metagaming/attacking a braindead person) and visiously assaults me and stabs my eyes out. Again, I tried to deal with this non violently, just some lube. And a medborg drags me away to get healed, letting her escape. Lumi then uses this opportunity to taunt me over the radio, flaunting the fact that she got away with it. IC speaking, it's not THAT unreasonable to escalate things after someone stabs your eyes out, especially when you've made no serious attempts to harm that person beforehand (She could have called security, or stunned me with a stunprod, or cuffed me while I was distracted, instead she opted for crippling an old man). Furthermore, had I done nothing, her mockery would be likely to continue, and my reputation would have been tarnished, making me the victim of endless cyberbullying. The collateral damage was... regrettable yes, but I had only one chance to enact my vengeance. Plus, I've seen other players get away with massacring the crew under the grounds of "Captain's Orders".
