Complaining about being validhunted after you validhunted someone as an assistant for the crime of putting bananas in the hall is pretty silly.

Also the AI told us to disable the borg console and the other borg lit toxins on fire is why I started hitting people. I went in the autoborger because the AI was doing some friendly malf gimmick and announcing it over the radio. You skipped the part where I hung out in science and chatted with the scientists/they upgraded me (while knowing I was malf) until the AI went violent.

EDIT: Nevermind I would contest a ban because complaining you got killed for murdering another player is silly. You could have called security (like he did when you were murdering him) instead of spearing him to death.

The botanist knew exactly what he was doing though, he filled literally the entirety of hydroponics with 100 potency bananas so he could spam them in the hallways to slip people. I even gave him ample warning to stop and he didn't so he 100% expected to get lynched. He even said he knew he was gonna get lynched in deadchat.

I also said that I might've missed the thing about the AIs orders so I'll just go and delete that.

If the botanist didn't want to get lynched then he shouldn't have grown a ridiculous amount of bananas and filled the hallway with them, he literally admitted that he knew he was going to get lynched for doing it.

Vigilante justice is bad, and must be punished swiftly by security, and permanently (spacing/gibbing). There are a few resons for that: it seriously weakens the public trust towards security making their job harder, it encourages people to deal with threats on their own, putting their lives and other's at risk, and there's always the issue of innocent people being caught in the validhunting.

Sadly there are a lot of players who think that "dealing with things IC" just means "kill the fucker who's annoying you". No. Calling security is, and should always be, the first option.

Problem is relying on others, especially when said player that you need to deal with happens to be well known for being shitty and has established a metafriend in security.

There in lies the issue. Hence why kill people before they grief you. Or generally kill them before they escalate things.
