Its still a unneeded change and at minimum I would like to see the given justification for signalling players out in this manner.

I don't really care for the title, I just think this is a exercise in being petty and trying to devalue people's opinion as well as discounting years of experience with the game just to focus on how much someone's played in a single month.

So could we just play one game as an Assistant and get the "Rarely plays" title removed? Singling people out like this is really, really stupid. In the end its just more stupid ways for admins/coders to say "your opinion is worthless to us".

It is somewhat amusing though, that these are mostly people who are vocal... against the kind of thing pushed by HG and Paprika. Elyuminati: Coderbus edition

I mean, it's clearly hardly a comprehensive list of rarely playing posters or even a very accurately representative one.

Ah here's the buried place we're allowed to complain about this 'rarely plays' bullshit. At least call it what it is, not 'barely plays' it's 'HG doesn't like them'.

It's an obvious attempt to discredit posters without HG having to look like a dick and posting irrelevant connection histories when he doesn't have a legitimate argument.

Will previous headmins maintain global forums moderator status? Will the capability be passed onto the new headmins?

Yes, moderator positions are independent of admin position. An0n3 is the only new headmin who wasn't already a global moderator and he'll only get made one if he wants to be.

With six month terms being wanted by the community that leaves a lot of potential for forum moderator creep. Also people with forum moderator capacity due to delegation from headmins could pile up.

Horny granny thinks the better place for this is a four month dead thread from mid 2014, He also decided to delete the thread, cute, he's either inactive, or making me jump through hoops for the laugh, but I got nothing better to do, so fuck it.
here we go:

Jordie0608 unfairly deleted my posts in this thread here: https://tgstation13.org/phpBB/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=4232
The contents were varied, but basically I said he wasn't that bad as security if a bit harsh, and speculated that perhaps he'd gathered a little extra attention with his known patterns of behavior demanding attention leading to his ban, I also discussed what had already been brought up a lot, his play2win style, I mentioned I had been banned by SoS in the past for play2win, which was not a rule break at the time, nor has it ever been.

He asked me a question about what I meant, I clarified what I meant about his IRC fights, and moved along before getting a very serious final notice on shitposting.

This is in error, I was completely on topic, providing character witness, and policy as well, My only crime was not fitting snugly within the three admin dogpile that was happening to a dude who is under most circumstances a cock by all accounts OOC.

I jumped through your hoops HG, address the problem.

We're quite clear on the fact that without specific evidence, reference to rulings, past actions of similar behaviour, or mistakes people have made your posts aren't going to be acceptable on FNR.

Character witness isn't really good enough, or everyone would just go "This guy is/isn't a faggot" and the peanut gallery would be reborn.

Could you please read the comments in question.
Better yet quote them, because I am damned certain I made referance to the play2win accusations being bullshit, as it's not a rule, and that's not just character witness, that's something I experienced.

Edit: this not answer is almost exactly what jordie said, and it's not JUST character referance, jesus fuck, is this the new rule for how you people conduct yourself? one answer that doesn't adress the problem, then leave? And yes, I'm trying to shame more out of you, because you clearly didn't read.

I did read it. Playing to win has always been a reason for people getting dunked. It's called powergaming and even as security meta/powergaming aren't allowed to extreme levels. Levels such as checking everyone's covert gear in case it's traitor stuff based on magical metaknowledge and really shifty excuses. If he didn't know what he was doing was wrong he wouldn't have been justifying that shit with flimsy reasoning.

Anyway your first post says you got banned by sos once and you disagree with why, then you said tornadium was a faggot on the forums, then told him to calm down on OOC.

None of that is really relevant and you can see the thread was being drawn off by your irrelevant conversation.

Edit: Also I'm finding it funny that you're moving through various threads leaving links back to a trail of complaining like you're burrowing through the forums.

I've never heard of or seen a ban on powergaming or play2win that wasn't also meta or bug exploitation.

And play2win as I thought it was being applied is antag hunting, which I made the point that if you're gonna do that, sec is where you should do it. the conversation about the mesons being a prime example of 'meta' not play2win, Just control-f Win and look around, it was being thrown around a lot as a shitty thing to do in general and it's not, Redtext for redshirts is valid play up to now, if you wanna change that, that's your prerogative, but that's a little beyond the scope of my point, that being, I was on topic.

Stickymayhem wrote:Edit: Also I'm finding it funny that you're moving through various threads leaving links back to a trail of complaining like you're burrowing through the forums.
that's what happens when your shit get's deleted, and then you complain and that get's deleted too.
I'm rapidly losing faith and devolving into a singulo poster 'DA CIRCLEJERK IS REEEEEAL!"

I know this isn't the place for it but what shitty reasoning are you referring to?

The search in the kitchen that was a result of sounds of violence, gibbing and human gibs?

Or the search that was a result of someone screaming that they were being murdered and the dude was standing right next to a bunch of bullet casings?

Or the final search on scones (This seems to be the big thing because everyone is focused on scones) which was a result of him acting shifty as fuck, bolting into maint anytime any security officer went anywhere near him as well as him hanging out near blood trails and on top of that constantly lurking around engineering maint.

Also when did I check anyone's covert gear? They all had fucking pistols and e-swords.

I'm confused here.

How come Wootan isn't allowed to post as a character witness, meanwhile Smegma is allowed to post, and ban, based on this:

Saegrimr wrote:Understand this isn't hinged on any single incident that occurred in the round, this is the total of your terrible security practices as agreed upon by multiple admins.
How is that not conjecture and complete bullshit principles? I honestly haven't a fucking clue. Nearly all of the events he tried to portray in that round were false. Intentionally leaving out important context for example with regards to the clown.

He didn't even fully go through the whole story before dropping the bans, we barely started and he just said "Oh I'm already going to ban you". This was after he tried to use wording of one sentence to infer I was lying to him, despite me making it clear what I meant earlier.

Honestly I disagree with this on two levels, The ban is being toted as a ban due to his bad character, so a character witness should be fine, but even if it's not I'm on point with a discussion on play2win, and it's not my fault I was drawn into a short back and forth to explain further, by all accounts that what he does, argue you to death.

this doubley sucks because I can't exactly remember what was said, can I get Kor in here? HG is trolling, and Sticky is out and out wrong.

I personally don't see why arguing my side of the story constitutes "argue to the death".

As long as I believe that the circumstances surrounding an issue are being misrepresented or something is unfairly imposed then I don't see the issue with pointing that out.

Hell I know when I'm wrong. The first note I have is admitting my fuckup and asking for the ban.

Nobody wants to get into a quote war with you bro.
I acknowledged that you're not that bad as a detective, but I'm beginning to see that you're a bit over-argumentative when it comes to these things, I said you were from the beginning, but clearly the sickness runs further than I thought.

I'm not counting them all for all I know, but so far this has spilled into both my appeals on my moderated posts, Saegrimr's feedback, A policy discussion you put up, and the original appeal itself, And a little thread where you thought you'd been moderated too from being unable to edit your posts. Six areas are now utterly about you, and I haven't even checked singulo, but I'm assuming you're in there too, or will be. And Based on what's been said, you're only not on IRC doing it too because you were banned to avoid it.

Perhaps you view it as defending yourself, but most people manage to defend themselves just fine without all of.. this.
So can you please fuck off, this is about my right to comment, not another place for you to appeal.

MSO deleted 32 out of 43 posts in the following Gameplay Is Laggy To Hell for being off topic included ones prior to even his first post on the thread about the issue being network lag this being a thread where the original poster Steelpoint was unaware of the exact nature of the problem.

That's about 74% of posts, by bringing the thread on topic he basically destroyed it. Not that those were necessarily great or knowledgeable posts but this is the sort of broad brush that is worrying from a forums host.

Thread about lag has all its posts deleted because it is assumed to be specifically about network lag. OP comes in and says this is blatantly not true, it is about all kinds of lag. Thread is then locked without a word. Why?
