Timelines
The election period starts on the 11th August, when this thread officially becomes a global sticky.
Candidate pre-entry opens - 15th of August New threads can be made, but no posting may happen.
Discussion starts - 18th August, forums unlocked, this thread is postable in.
Candidate entries close - 20th August
Voting begins - DDAY - 25 August
Voting complete, results announced - 1st of September

Then the handover period for the old Head admins to hand over to the new ones begins, with the official switchover date being the 15th of September

A note on how timelines are calculated

14 days after the election for transitional period.
7 days of voting.
7 days of discussion.
3 days for candidate entries only mode.
5 days for candidate entries total. (we really don't get many quality candidate threads byond the first 2 days, its hard to justify leaving these open for all that long after discussion starts, given late comers are very unlikely to make up momentum losses, and its hard to justify more than 7 days of discussion given theres also 7 days of discussion+voting)
