Trialmin Review: Sawrge

Sawrge has now been in the .txt as a Trial Admin for two months now.

Please use this thread as public review; it's encouraged for players to comment on how well/badly the trial admin has done and whether or not they think the trial admin should be made a full admin, if they should be removed from the .txt or if their promotion should be delayed.

Vote to promote, people are probably going to come in here and make epic posts calling him unfit for admin and just a shitposter, but he's an excellent admin who unironically understands the spirit of the game better than them anyway so who cares what they think.

Memey as hell (I can't talk though) and hates me but most of the time at the end of the day he's right.
Oh yeah and people overreact to his posts too much, they're not that bad compared to certain others.

My ONLY problem with sawrge is that he takes very little seriously

I like having some people on the team who aren't quite as serious as the rest, but I've seen a few posts where I start to question if sawrge has ever read the admin guidelines

It's not to the point where I'd hope he doesn't get promoted, but I hope sawrge at least takes my point into consideration

Otherwise, haven't seen anything from him that would make him unfit for admin, vote to promote

say what you want about his posts, sawrge is a trooper for loving this game enough to still be here and still be trying to contribute and make it better
shaps said it best, he understands the spirit of the game better than 95% 100% of the people around here.

I'd like to see him get fullmin but that doesn't change the fact that some of his posts have been less than stellar

(I think it's obvious I mean in forums outside of the hut but I want to clarify that anyways)

also I noticed that when it was extended he made antags almost instantly without even saying to the other admins on "I'm going to make antags", and when me and pkp pointed out that it was a little lame he cited his opinion that "admin events are contrary to the spirit of the game", which kind missed the point I was getting at

EDIT: to be clear I'm still not saying "he's shit deadmin", just pointing out something I thought was negative

Generally in actual PMs/admin related business, I try to keep it more serious. It is really only in OOC/outside the game where I let loose.

I'll preface this by saying that I really like Sawrge as a person, and would like to continue seeing them in adminbus and around.

That being said, I think that Sawrge's conduct as an administrator is incredibly unprofessional. I feel like this is often overlooked or ignored due to the fact that he's been an admin before, which leads me to believe that he should've just been made a full admin rather than go through the trial process if his actions during the trial are going to be glossed over. If he was anyone else, I think that he would've had his trial extended or worse due to his conduct, including: telling everyone in mumble his admin password so that they could go shitpost in his name and look through the admin forum, shitposting in every single admin feedback thread, and sharing an extremely aggressive and incendiary post about Kevinz in his mumble group inciting one of them who doesn't even play the game to come and post it on Kevinz' feedback thread.

As a side note, saying that running admin events goes against the spirit of the game really rubs me the wrong way. I believe that we're here to make sure everyone has a good time and has fun, and running the occasional event or mixing up the game to provide people with a unique experience is absolutely in the spirit of the game to me. I hope that the irony of speaking out against getting involved in the round while simultaneously overriding extended by forcing a regular antag mode isn't lost on you.

Overall, Sawrge seems like a really good dude. Even with my complaints, Sawrge doesn't raise any of the big red flags like a shitty attitude or abuse of power. I really hopes he takes the criticism to heart and improves as an admin, I like seeing him around. My vote is to extend his trial.

Sidenote: Can we please stop trying to devalue the posts of people who don't share your opinion in these feedback threads? Seriously, the first post in Kevinz thread said "...I know there's going to be a bunch of people who say, "Oh I love kevinz he makes le meme face xD xD :^)"" to try and make everyone who supports Kevinz sound like a fucking retard. And this thread, with "...people are going to make Epic posts about how he's unfit to be an admin and a shitposter" etc etc. Like, I'm certain we can all be adults about this and have differing opinions about an administrator without trying to downplay anyone who doesn't agree with you.

Oh I forgot to mention I thought his stance on events was awful, but that's mostly personal opinion and I have no issue with having some admins who like events and some who don't so it's not really a big deal in my eyes

After speaking with Sawrge in adminbus I'm altering my vote to him being removed as an administrator. He's expressed outright that he has no interest in trying to be any more professional or take anything more seriously than he has, and after the long list of shit that occurred during his trial, it's a huge red flag for someone on the brink of becoming a full admin. I think promoting someone who doesn't treat being administrator any different than posting in the hut is a mistake, and sets an awful precedent for future administrators.
