Danno has now been in the .txt as a Trial Admin for two months now.

Please use this thread as public review; it's encouraged for players to comment on how well/badly the trial admin has done and whether or not they think the trial admin should be made a full admin, if they should be removed from the .txt or if their promotion should be delayed.

Despite making a complaint about him and shitposting in his feedback thread he's never been anything but fair to me in game (aside from muh name policy), rampant memer but impartial admin when it counts.

I think Danno requires more time dealing with security players and understanding the sensitivies and gameplay of security before ascension.
I would suggest playing more security, taking advice from other admins that're security players, or generally watching rounds that have high security players that're fairly good at playing security.

It seems there's some discrepancy on advice and your actions because

It was lifted early. By another headmin. And a vocal group of players opposed your decision, to the point of making a policy discussion.

I haven't asked why, nor do I intend to ask. It's over and not of concern. But there was intervention, especially when PKP affirmed the ban.

Are you more lenient and kinder to players based on their background or playstyle when you play sec?

I try to keep an open mind, but it's a little difficult imagining a veteran sec player strongly agreeing with the advice I was given.

I'm not saying he'd make a bad admin or he should be denied admin, but I didn't get a positive first time experience and people have re-affirmed that they felt I was dished a heavy hand.

once again, though, he was deferring to senior admins, so I'm not sure this is a valid complaint to make

also as an aside, jmad please stop bringing up your ban appeal here, the decision for danno's review falls to us headmins and we made our minds up on that ban practically months ago. it's irrelevant at this point.

I wasn't planning on posting here but I just hopped on Basil and caught Dannno in the middle of dealing with a shitshow and they did an excellent job handling it. I've gotten shit on for ACing Dannno but I still think it was a good idea and today has reinforced that opinion.
