Trialmin Review: Daxyeen

Daxyeen has now been in the .txt as a Trial Admin for two months now.

Please use this thread as public review; it's encouraged for players to comment on how well/badly the trial admin has done and whether or not they think the trial admin should be made a full admin, if they should be removed from the .txt or if their promotion should be delayed.

I have never had the highest expectations for failure get entirely subverted by an admin. Definitely one of the most notable trialmins to come around and should be promoted.

I generally prefer to minor side events and not normally round consuming one.

Mostly bad experiences with them, they have a tendency to call everything they do an event and tell you to take it to the forums when you bring it up to them so that you can't make a complaint due to it being an event. From code testing something that kills the entire crew to putting purrbation on one person in a round who's talking about furries.

It was an event and seeing how well the virus would fare in normal conditions.
The first time any event is ran with something that admins don't have experience with, it's a form of testing to see if it's a good event. We cannot possibly predict if the event is fun, memorable and repeatable without running one first.

It was supposed to involve medical ERTs with pandemic machines and extra cloner parts, but it spiraled out of control faster than I expected. The round type was set to extended too and it was announced that there was gonna be an event.
So me and the other admins decided to end the event 10 minutes after the first infection.

However, I did feel like it went out of control and the same day I posted that I indeed messed up.

Part of being a trialmin is trying things and occasionally making a mistake. I apologize if I made a mistake. I'm not infallible and in the 450 hours I've actively adminned according to statsbus, it was bound to happen to slip up once or twice.

As for the purrbation thing is, it was a radiation blast event. Which the other admins online approved. I still want to figure out how to properly do it with lizards too, for some reason I can't get the sqdl2 right. It wasn't aimed at anyone in specific. It was a minor, non-round consuming event that changed 4 pixels on your sprite.

Most of the time it's accidental, I usually only intentionally steal it if it's something I know from the code since I've fucked with a lot of code and the other admin doesn't know. Though I've been trying to use asay instead to tell the admin lately, though I kinda feel like that's more rude? It's like stating you know better or something? I don't know I still want to find the golden balance on that one.

If it's just "I have additional information on this feature" I just follow in on after it seems like they're done.
If it's an investigative/player conflict asay is the way to go.

When i see them around they act professional in ahelps, and I have not see any more abuse of the buttons than other admins out there.

They were the person I dumped the hairy ahelps on my tag team partner during my trial, and from what I've seen of Dax they are definitely worth keeping on the admin team

I just want to say I'm really pleased with your time as a trialmin and I'm very glad with how this review turned out. You are someone I believed in and you affirmed that belief by changing the mind of all those that doubted when I candidated you. You should be proud and I am certain you will make a great addition to the team.
