We'll be having a roundtable discussion on teamspeak tonight to discuss events and address recent issues. I want to try to keep this to no more than 30 minutes of official business.

When: Tonight, January 24th at 6pm EST.
Where: teamspeak courtesy of MSO - ts.tgstation13.org.
Who: All are invited and will be given a chance to speak.

This should be put up as an announcement to make it more prominent, perhaps in the game as well.

I wont be there too late and not warned in enough time. We really should of had better pre warning.

Main points I would like to know are mentioned:
How will better management of feedback occur?
E.g. Will there be more focus on removing empty posts?
How will more focus on the bad posters be done?

Whelp, too busy doing open homes.

If we do this again, can we have some actual notice? Half a day isn't great, for something that's fairly important.

Oranges and An0n3 both recorded it by the by, and considering there was a lot of agreement on stuff that should be explored more by everyone we should probably post up what we wanted to talk about.

Suggestions for the future.

1) Let's do this on our own server. We can handle overflow by directing people to the stream. I can setup the stream so that it will show the TS window so people will know who is talking. Less confused dutch minecraft players would be nice.
-obviously we'll have to have moderators in the stream chat to control any flooding as well as monitor for questions that might come in from there
2) I can also setup the stream to auto archive so there'll be a recording of everything with the same notification lights to let people who watch later know who is saying what. People are expressing confusion over trying to tell who is who.

My biggest wish list for future round tables:

Hand out priority speaker for the community leads and any other persons of interest at the time. I got tired of people talking over each other really quickly.

I like listening to people talk but it might better facilitate conversation to have people raise questions in chat which then get brought up and discussed by the community leads.

Part of the roundtable though is giving people a chance to voice their concerns, so giving everyone a chance to speak is pretty important. Finding some way to order this chaos would be best.

For what it's worth for the next roundtable, I'd be more than glad to host it on my TS, more than enough sluts and nobody's ever on it.

Sluts for everyone!

But if you also give the sluts their own sluts, you enter a situation wherein the total number of sluts needed to sustain the current slut population grows geometrically. You literally can never have enough sluts for any userbase larger than zero.

that the sluts aren't shared sluts.
And we've been using the plural all this time, so it's clearly not one slut per person.
Therefore, each slut, given that sluts are included in "everyone", has at least two sluts of their own. Who have two sluts of THEIR own each. Who have etc etc etc infinite sluts required to fulfill promises made.

No, this is explicitly NOT recursive assignment, at least not by any sane slut assignment algorithm. The only reason to introduce new sluts into the system is to fill demand for new sluts, therefore any new slut should be immediately assigned to fill an existing need. Introducing a slut and assigning it to itself would serve no constructive purpose.

the plurality of the sluts refers to the fact that there are many sluts in general because there will be many people there, not that each person gets at least 2 sluts
and the sluts will function as their own sluts, thus each non-slut gets one slut to service them and the sluts, being sluts, accept their usage by the person they are servicing as their own form of slut-satisfaction
which is to say, because they are sluts, and because they are engaging in slut activities, they reach their needed slut quota by being used

Put those goalposts back in the slut you took them from.

Your original post was sufficiently ambiguous for me to finger you as a dirty filthy goalpost mover.

It might actually help if somebody with priority speaker actually directed the discussion instead of just tossing it out to the dogs. As is now, the vague topic of interest at the time is announced and then everyone shouts over eachother to shit on paprka.

mumble is open source, no slots limit, and doesn't close down their licensing website on the weekends like teamspeak does.

Honestly, its the closing down the page thing that had me kicking ts to the curve. That shit is fucking retarded, so fuck TS.

1) Stop instantiating new sluts. Slut the sluts you already have instantiated to eachother to satisfy their own needs for a slut. A slut mesh. Done.

2) Stop talking about sluts. This is actually kinda serious. What kind of format we use for the next talk is important to keep people from talking over eachother and so I can record things to make it clear who was talking when so that folks can understand what was actually said.

Either:

A) Everyone chattin' up a storm. We just do it again like we did last time except hopefully with a little more discipline. It's a clusterfuck, as we heard last time, but it at least gives everyone the ability to talk (even if they use it to talk over eachother)

B) We have a panel of community leaders with voice and everyone else talks in chat. We can read questions and then discuss them, or give voice to single people as they raise good questions to read and discuss. This makes things a lot easier to listen to but restricts people's access to a voice, which I don't like.

Which is preferable?

I'm the only community leader that matters so it will just be me talking the whole time anyway

just try to prevent people from talking over each other
remove voice from people who constantly butt in and just hope that everyone has the discipline to shut up when someone is speaking

So what time are we doing this today? I'd like to have everything setup ahead of time so I can just turn things on when we're ready to go.

Who's actually hosting this thing, on what platform, and what server address?
