Just use a private server for this shit, honestly. I don't see the appeal in doing it with the knowledge that a pile of dead players could be hovering over your character, watching your cringey autism leak into the game. or an admin could instantly gib you at moments notice. Most of your peers would look down on your stupid shit.
Pros:
Easy to set up.
No admins will fuck with you.
No players will fuck with you.
You're not bothering anyone.
It's private.

Cons:
Absolutely fuck all.

And if "Nobody did it, anyways." Then nobody's going to miss it. What are you guys trying to prove anyways, that you can freely bonk some unknown person's character on a 2D Spaceman game? What is the point.

People who ERP publicly (i.e. on the server, with the knowledge that ghosts are around and that we have public logs) don't do it for RP reasons, or even for titillation; they do it for the shock factor, because they explicitly want people to see them. If they didn't want people to see their nefarious misdoings, they'd do it in private.

If people want to WooHoo, that's fine (if somewhat weird, given that both parties are most likely fifty-year-old neckbeards), but don't do it where any old ghost can just hover over you and have their mind scarred.

I don't get what the drama is, and why it needs to rebanned. Ghost ears exists for a reason. Don't like it? Turn that shit off. Again, Don't ERP in the fucking bar, use the Dorms or Gateway. I was pretty much utterly neutral on erp until recently, might have even voted to keep it. However, what really pissed me off about erp, was that erpers and observers were acting like they were entitled to admins killing the erpers in some hilarious way every single time. When I would simply delete them, the erpers and observers would bitch and moan that it wasn't funny or interesting. Erping opening you up to admin shenanigans was fine, until people felt entitled to their erping being responded to with shenanigans.

Except that this was explicitly not the case. The rules were very clear that admins could do absolutely whatever (including gib/delete) and you had no right to complain. I am pretty sure Kor made a point of having this be very clear.

I think its more that the general player expectation was that the admins would attempt to playfully fuck up ERPers instead of just deleting them.

People tend to like and remember more memorable events such as the Corgi Squad, the anti-sex Spiders or the Centcom Official showing up suddenly than someone just disappearing.

Keep it banned on sybil

Nobody erps on sybil but since there's never any admins on the second server you might as well keep it unbanned there as a containment server because it doesn't cause any problems on that server as far as I've seen

I don't think it's you to decide WJ, especially when you've spawned yourself as xenos to ERP, given players special snowflake sprites to ERP with, and have background in venting frustration on players that have prevented or disrupted ERP or your snowflake content.

I'd suggest taking off the rose tinted lenses and seeing it from others points of view, from promoting unfair gameplay, to giving differential treatment, and generally allowing players to be borderline creepy fucks for 4 games in a row without consequence or regard to another players experience of the game.

There's servers for ERP, and the expectation that those that do ERP deserve special treatment from other players is absurd, especially given a server not made for ERP having so few rules on making others experiences worse whilst tiptoeing ERP rules.

I've raided Citadel. Their admins know how to deal with ERP and creepy fucks that use it to mess with people. Unless direct action is taken and admins know how to deal with it, I suggest not allowing it, period.

Differential treatment and ERP go hand in hand because you're going to be nicer to people who you have had more interactions with, and most people ERP with people they've had a lot of IC interaction with.

Differential treatment is not a problem, it is a good thing and encourages people to not be shitheads in order to be treated better down the line.

I'm pretty sure treating others different based on your relationship to them is called being a human being. There is no precedent to treat everyone equally, we only draw a line if you're giving people all access if they're your friends, or giving them large advantages over other players.

You were choosing the people you thought would do best for the server with absolute power.
