Recruitment process entails one of the current head admins, game masters or admintrainers in game for temporary(per-round) selecting you and giving you admin candidate rank. As an admin candidate you are expected to observe and learn. When headmins think you are capable of handling yourself as an admin alone, you'll be given trialmin rank. Trialmins have a period of two months in which to prove that they are capable of being trusted to admin with other admins or by themselves. At the end of two months, they will either be promoted, have their trial extended, or be demoted.

Admin candidacy will be preferably given to players not in American timezones as we've simply got too many admins online during certain hours and next to none during others. Other requirements basically involve having spent a few years around /tg/, a good understanding of game mechanics, and exposure to a wide variety of ingame situations.

We are currently not openly recruiting.

Candidacy will also last for a lot longer than before.

We've had some problems with players simply not being ready to make consistent or good judgement calls. It's not their fault and a longer period of candidacy where they have to lurk more, observe, and learn, will only benefit future trialmins.

Its worth saying the admin candidate role used to last a bit longer as well, with a lot of one of one explaining/babysitting of the admin candidate by a full admin/trainer. This worked well for new potential admins to understand how and why the way we work.

Trail admin was always the part where we were confident they could admin on their own, but still needed time to review them overall.
