I made the vector image of the banner on top of ss13.eu for erro when he asked for a new logo in December.
If he does indeed want to fully separate from ss13 like he said I'll give you the .ai file for you to do what you want with it. Or you could just swipe it from his site if you look for it, it should still be there.
Also, I posted my Ideas in Rocks Talk page on the new wiki.
EDIT: Erro said he is reducing the forum to mainly a facilitator for the videogame group, so I have no problem with giving it to you.

Re-add stenography and don't make HG or Pandarsenic a forum admin.

Community Advocate rank with ability to read and post in all hidden subforums (as was in the old forums)
Move poster information from the left to the right
Copy the old forum's format style
Remove smilies
Add hugs
Increase avatar limits again
Import old post counts
Don't listen to Aurx (if we wanted 4chan we would use 4chan)

I want to suggest to not have shit on multiple domains.
One email is from

Pick one and stick with it.

A draft is being written up with input from everyone in charge. Discussion can happen after the draft is out.

I believe he means the section where players can discuss in-game policy, like on the old forums before it got renamed to Ask an Admin.

Well you sort of added a border on the main content, but it doesn't have a color assigned so you can't see it. Also a 6px border is insane, whats wrong with 1/2px?
Should probably fix that.

Pretty. Although there's this
green thing to the right of everyone's name now though and I can't tell if a person is online or not.
E: Apparently the green thing is the online now symbol, for some raisin when I first switched to it everyone had it on. I guess everyone ITT was online. Some avatars overlap the symbol though.
geilebeer wrote:I think they want to keep the shitposting as low as possible unlike the old forums.
Shitposting is subjective. Getting ten or more people to agree to what is a shitpost and what isn't is just gonna create drama. Also wasn't one of the things that lead to this being Erro trying to remove shitposting

You are right Weeyakk, we will have to wait for a clear statement about why there are so many mods wanted.
And I think erro's decision to cut down on shitposts wasn't a main reason for the whole ordeal.

A policy section for the posting and discussion of policies?
I mean a centralized place for all policy, specifically regarding forums, coding, and in game rulings. I think it should be a central subforum.
In these, official policy would be placed in a locked sticky (updated as things change), and people can make threads limited to a specific policy should they want to talk about it.

There's already a message like that on tgstation13.org. I'd also expect a faster turnover whenever Errorage shuts off the game.ss13.eu links, which he has announced plans to do. I'd also imagine he'll remove the ss13 and /tg/station related parts of his forum and rebrand it, which will of course finish things up.

Saw the message, thing about it is:
a) Google still lists the old forum at the top, probably not much that can immediately done about that but it's a thing
b) The message says this is the "codebase forums" and the average new player might not connect that these are the official game forums (especially given that most of the old forum stuff insists on calling this the "coderbus forum," and said average new player isn't going to think that is anything relevant. These aren't straw men, there are lots of newbies asking essentially WTF is going on, plus a lot of old/frequent players who haven't made the switch.
c) I highly doubt this "rebranding" is going to happen in any kind of quick or orderly fashion, given the general lack of planning/forethought shown throughout this entire fiasco (note: not dissing anybody here).

1. Google will list the old site at the top for quite some time, until the spiders start crawling this site and notice more relevant activity.
2. Not much we can do there, we're lucky erro even uncensored the domain and linked here.
3. No comment.

Can we also get rid of minimum character requirements? I think we're a developed enough community to not have to resort to arbitrary restrictions on posts.

It would help FNR and Ban Requests, since detailed logs can be very long, and quoting select parts often makes admins suspicious that you are hiding something (surprisingly often - rightfully so). This means that we're usually required to use some sort of online clipboard, or hope that admins pull the server logs.
But, otherwise, do we really type up posts that go over the current character limit that often? I mean, 60,000 characters is a lot. My essay on Hitler's life, which I may not resist posting if the character limit is lifted or raised, is 95,000 characters long, and it's HUGE - takes over an hour to read it aloud.

If you're running into the post limit with 60,000 characters, you really need to trim your post. Pastebin works fine for logs, doubly so because it makes quoting your post easier - You don't have to dig through spoilertagged longform logs.
What I'd like to see is strikeout BBCode tags ( and ), as well as support for thumbnailed image ([timg])

Misread that post. Yeah, now thinking of it, 5 characters may be a bit too much.
But, at least BBCode lets you bypass the character limit when you really need your reply to be short.
