The popup is dumb and counter intuitive.

I would love to help out with this but I'm not a us citizen and not sure I even help my signing.

If anyone tells you lack of net neutrality works great in aus tell them there is no way Americans can have ACCC level consumer protections and it's been a bit shitty regardless.*

*thanks to isps and governments dealing with them like they're not the forsaken spawn of a forgotten demon

I don't think anyone in the world doesn't have a reason or two to worry about net neutrality and commercial control of the internet, but not much Austists can do to help in this case, we have our own problems with a government that basically still treats the internet as a passing fad.

I know it will affect me, if not now, it will in future. But there's not really much I can do about it, sadly.

I'm normally against any sort of pop or ad but the push against net neutrality is a big fucking deal and things will only get worse for everyone if this manages to pass.

There is absolutely nothing good that can come from this and will only benefit the already incredibly wealth and monopolized internet companies. US government has fucked up big time by not dealing with them already and now we can only hope to hang to what few shreds of freedom we have left.

Some of us also have a functioning internet market with competition on top of a functioning democracy, so it's less of an issue.

inb4 websites throttle themselves down in protest of the possibility of the ISPs throttling them down
the ISPs'll never see it coming
