Support for native emoji in PhpBB is a technical nightmare to implement, so I'm sure MSO will breeze in and add support just to spite me.
EDIT: Specifically, support requires updating the forum database tables to support multibyte characters (so utf8mb4) and then specifically replacing every string handling function in the forum code itself with it's multibyte (`mb_`) counterpart.

just make literally every emoji a smiley face and we'll come to a fair stalemate.

Sorry we will only accept petitions that have parsed emojis in them.

Hold my bong.
Edit: It looks like most functions that do string operations on messages are in message_parser.php
Edit2: smilies/bbcode/post length limit enforcement are now multibyte aware. And I only had to edit 1 file. Searching isn't, but thats non-essential, I'll work on it after everything else. On to mysql!

I can put the claps into the subject title and click preview but submitting gives me an SQL error. pls fix because it's telling me to seek a board admin.
?
also quoting doesn't wooork when you use the forbidden unicode of the seven hells.
?
but otherwise good job!s/quote]j/quote]o/quote]o/quote]

Subjects aren't supported because too many things touch subjects to convert them all to unicode
