Statbus is down for undisclosed reasons*

Hi Goof!

The part of Statbus that I'm worried about is the tgdb analog I built. All it does is mirror the functionality of MSO's TGDB, but with a slightly different layout and a more modern looking design. The changes to the rank system meant that there was a possibility that player information like CIDs and IP addresses could be leaked. There's nothing on statbus that would allow for admins to abuse anything. In fact, the only place where I'm writing data to tgdb is here: https://github.com/nfreader/slimbus/blo ... #L204-L218 (right now this is only used to track what books are deleted from the library). If you'd like to, you are more than welcome to further audit the code, available at https://github.com/nfreader/slimbus

And for the record, the entirety of statbus is down at the moment, not restricted to just admins or something like that.

Logs for rounds with six-digits are temporarily unavailable due to an issue on MSO’s end.

Semi-related fun fact! As of today we're closer to the 2038 problem than we we were to the Y2K problem! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Year_2038_problem

EDIT: And the 2038 problem is MUCH worse and way more real than Y2K ^_^

MSO has enabled telecomms.log parsing, which shows (almost?) every radio message, the channel it was transmitted on, and bunch of other data that will be super useful to statbus. I'll work on getting these log files parsed over the next few days.

I just pushed a new version of the map!
https://sb.atlantaned.space/rounds/105984/map

This one is prettier, loads all its data asynchronously, and is extensible. Parsed logs has fallen behind, but next on my list is setting it up so that every log file with coordinate data in it is viewable on the map. Intrepid users will also note that this has led to the creation of a very rudimentary json API for some pages as well...

I pushed a new version of the population graph: https://sb.atlantaned.space/info/population

I'm not *thrilled* about this version. It is substantially easier to work with from a data formatting perspective, at the cost of losing visibility into population numbers on a server-by-server basis. I'll try to bring that back at some point, but no promises.

There's a new graph that shows play time* for the last 30 days! https://sb.atlantaned.space/info/playtime

* as determined by looking at the summed values for the Ghost and Living roles and extrapolating that they mean dead/observing and playing, respectively.

I added a page that shows how often maps are played since ~March 2017

https://sb.atlantaned.space/info/mapularity

all names are lowercased, and every instance of _ and a space in the name is replaced with nothing. This helps reconcile that 'Box Station' was once recorded as 'BoxStation' and 'Box_Station' etc.

You can now view ahelps you were involved in at https://sb.atlantaned.space/me/tickets

Additionally, you can choose to make your ahelps public by clicking the green Make Public button on the right hand side of the ticket view. This will generate a unique, shareable link so you can show everyone how right you were without having to wait for an admin to pull logs.

example: https://sb.atlantaned.space/ticket/2eaabbeb1d8dfc33

Some notes:
• We only started tracking ahelps in the database in January of this year (2020). Ahelps from before this period are only available in raw logs
• You can only see ahelps YOU were involved in, i.e. ahelps you started by pressing F1, or ahelps sent to you by an admin, i.e. bwoinked
• Similarly, only YOU can choose to make your ahelp public. Admins cannot override this, even if they were involved by bwoinking you in the first place.
• A unique link is generated to prevent some people from easily parsing through all the possible publicly available ahelps
• The ticket page is very slow. The query neds some optimization, which I hope to get figured out shortly.

I wonder how far you can go with the Statbus...Maybe show how many times people have slipped on bananas? Or even got beaten to death by floor tiles? Maybe add some functionality for death searches. :ugeek:

Scrubby is probably a better source for numbers like that.

I hesitate to do anything more with deaths than I already have. Once we start talking about numbers of deaths and kills it sorta sucks the RP experience out and turns into a K/D ratio dickwaving contest. And our death data isn’t that accurate, unfortunately.
