/tg/Station 13

I'll be honest, personally I think the logo we have at the top of the forums, as well as the wiki main page logo and buttons all look kinda not that great. The forum logo especially seems poorly desinged, with various parts, like the "/tg/station" text blending into the background somewhat. So, I thought I'd try my hand at doing a bit of a redesign for those things, and post them here to see what everyone else thinks of them.


The redesigned forum logo; as it is quite hard to see on the post background, I've put a mockup of the new logo in action below, along with a screencap of the current logo for comparison.

The "Hell is Other Spacemen" subtitle is just there to fill some space to keep it near the same height as the old logo without making it even longer than it already is. If length isn't that big of an issue, here is also a subtitle-less extra long logo:



The redesigned wiki logo, slightly longer and quite a bit taller than the current logo.
The redesigned wiki buttons, actually a bit slimmer and shorter than the current buttons if you account for all the blank space in the current button images. These may need some tweaking to get them to look just right in action, though.

These wiki buttons definitely look better than the current ones, but I don't suppose this font lets you write in lowercase? It might be more easy to read the button text if they weren't all-caps.

At this point I'm mainly leaving it up so that somebody will fix it, because I also think the old one was kinda dated.

I know we aren't technically associated with /tg/ anymore but I think it just looked wrong as TGSTATION.

If you want the characters repositioned or to sub any in/out, it'd be no big deal because I have them saved in layers.

I say maybe add some of the new stuff, like clock cult and nightmare and replacing the lizard with a moth (moths are more Ａｅｓｔｈｅｔｉｃ)

You should put in one more semi-transparent layer in the background, of Captains face calmly watching down on his staff.
