MSO will obviously have the ultimate say if he wants to step in (because technically I'm to enforce rules and not necessarily create them, but we have a distinct lack of checks and balances here), but before I start at-will gunning down peanut thread OPs in the streets without warning I figured I'd put up a poll about it.

If this poll receives an overwhelming majority Yes vote by the time it closes (7 days from posting), I will create Off-Topic's only real board-specific rule: Users who post a peanut thread without linking the appeal/complaint in question in the OP automatically receive a 12-hour forumban and have their thread deleted.

there's multiple appeals on a single page, sometimes there's activity in the peanut but the appeal gets left for dead. sometimes the opposite.

It's a good thing Kendrickorium took leave of his senses briefly in a way similar to what I do sometimes and made his thread with the sensationalist title or I wouldn't have seen this almost completely inconsequential poll the results of which only affect the people who make peanut threads
