More expansion of coding section to include a mapping and a spriting section seperately of coding and maybe even a /NT/ variant if they want to come here.

Also can we kinda try and prevent the back of the bus like we had on the last forum I kinda hated how it prevented us to talk back about planned changes directly.

If the tg administration does end up jumping ship here because of drama, it may be worth having a complaints section as well.

also, like jeb, i'm willing to help out with moderation/modification or whatever else may be needed should the occasion arise.

Why is the artyom server identifier so much larger than the other two.

Can we leave the crazy codebase bias back with erro please?

So judging by tgstation13.org, we'll be using the page I threw together? lol

Looks like erro completely nuked the ss13.eu homepage within the past 30 minutes as part of his "rebranding".

Would it be possible for one of the moderators/admins to make a sticky post explaining (in non-dramatic fashion of course) what is going on with the forum move? There isn't exactly a lot of transparency (due to, well, the obvious), there is a sticky on the old forum but who knows how long that will last, and some people on the old forums have mentioned that this looks like, well, shitpost containment rather than the official forum.

Jeb, nice work on the main page, looks very nice. I just have one question though. Seeing as NT code basically also shares the forums, shouldnt there also be a link for the NT irc and github on the main page?

Wasn't really expecting it to "go live" or "go anywhere" really, I was surprised to see it as the homepage when I woke up this morning lol.

When I get off work today I'll get some more content thrown on it and fix up some of the links. I can add links to NTStation things if people want. I think it originally started out as /tg/ was coming here, and NT was staying there. Now it seems that EVERYTHING is coming here and erro is rebranding things to..something?

No, "nothing is up" with the link. I threw that single page together in about an hour or so, and spent the rest of the time fixing the server banners.

cool shit. Any plans for wiki stuff? If needed I can volunteer to actually rewrite the content if copying for some reason becomes an issue. I've written a couple pages on it from scratch so I can probably get the hang of it.

Please find a way to change the page numbers to this style:
Image

It's about 50 times easier to click a box rather than a regular text link

Also stuff like adding a reply box to the bottom of the page rather than having to go to a brand new page, but I don't know how customizable phpbb is.

~also~ raise the avatar file size limit. 6KB is rather low for a 90x90 avatar.

Neato, could be bigger but is much better now.

I would like to see a similar system like the old forum where new posts are highlighted or shown.

New title banner. Gives a more professional look.

Make it have the Ian with a captain hat somewhere on it because that sprite is so cute.

Remove tracking of post counts.
Remove tracking of join date.
Remove smilies.
REMOVE SMILIES.
Remove avatars.
Use the space gained by removing avatars to allow for each post to have an image attached and thumbnailed.
Add an option to post anonymously. Moderators would still see account names on anonymous posts for obvious reasons.
Force new threads to start with an image-bearing post.

Make it so when someone posts a massive image it will shrink the image so you dont have to scroll to the left and have the page ruined and out of proportion.

Also usergroups for trialadmins, forum moderators, game admins, headmins, host, and (maybe developer if that dosn't blow up again)

Awesome, that solves one problem.
The forum branch dedicated to space station 13 ON TOPIC chat should not be called "General chat" It gives it the wrong meaning. A forum that is dedicated to talking about station things should have a name like Tgstation or On-topic or SOMETHING. Anything but general chat.

Off topic is fine the way it is IN my opinion. I originally thought that Sprites and mapping should be moved into development but with two different development forums, it may be hard and having two whole threads seems redundant. I don't have much of an opinion when it comes to having another Stenography thread of peanut gallery. It seems like a good idea since we don't want random people posting in ban appeals again, but your gonna need some forum mods to enforce that. I also don't have an opinion for the role playing thread. It got little use on the old forums but if people want it.

I made a little list that needs to be done:

Forum to-do:

-Remake all the admin feedback threads. It should be the way erro had it, where ANYONE who holds an in-game rank should get a thread as they all should be accountable for their actions rather than JUST actual admins who have +ban
-Remove Smiles. This is just my opinion, but come on.
-Re-make all the old iconic threads such as screenshots, and stories of awesome. I can do this but if anyone sees an iconic thread that dosn't exist yet, re-make it. WE STILL WANT TO HEAR ABOUT YOUR SAD STORIES IN STORIES OF REGRET AND WE STILL WANT TO HEAR YOUR SS13 CONFESSIONS!
-Get a ban database on this sight up and running for admins. In-game poll results would also be a good idea, and game stats if the community wants it.

Can we change it so there is one general ideas forum and give the ability for anyone who develops on either coding group to reference to a certain idea by giving it a link in a locled accepted idea will look into section. That way we can tell if someone wants to code the idea or if the coder is planning to do it.

Then once its complete it can have the idea moved into a seperate done implemented section for that coder group.

This i deem important enough that it requires its own post i request that no thread gets hidden ever and the only threads to get deleated are the ones in the trashbin automatically after a month.

I requested the trash forum, so we can move posts that hold no content/are shitposts to it.

As long as there is absolutely no hidden areas on the forum i will be happy with this.

I also would like maybe if drama does not stay away that we implement a drama forum area for us all to just tell each other how we feel about each other. So nobody hides and piles up their emotion like what happened before....

But only implement if absolutely nessecary

Just realised please do a global announcement telling people how the original forum goes to a wiki of the complete saved forum that was used until almost a year ago.

There are so many ideas and suggestions and mentionongs there still relevant that we should brimg back from the grave of that wikia.

Now is the chance forum lurkers find good suggestions and link those threads back to life on our forum. ( excluding minor suggestions and stuff )

I use them to mark or bulletpoint stuff. Better than colour sometimes.

Two things about the main site's design:

The content needs to have a 1px light border so it doesn't blend with the white background. It's a bit hard to distinguish without a border:

border-style: solid;
border-color: #CCC;
border-width: 1px;

Image

Also, there isn't a point to the "NAVIGATION:" thing at the top. It's better design-wise to remove it and just center the navigation.

If you so desire, you ~could~ also merge the server list and main content into one DIV and leave the "Welcome to /tg/station 13" outside of a DIV to make it a bit nicer, I'll need to experiment and see how that looks.
