The CIA teaches you how to Git

Post by Ricotez » #264686

Wikileaks published a whole bunch of documents from the CIA. They hacked a bunch of shit and are basically worse than the NSA. You know, stuff we all already knew but until now couldn't prove.

But among the documents was one that stood out: the CIA's guide to Git tips and tricks.
Including such important and classified government protocols as The "The Git URL is too long" Trick, The "Oh crap I didn't mean to commit yet" Trick and The "OK, which commit broke the build!?" Trick. It's honestly a very educational and entertaining read, even if you don't understand Git or have any interest in it.

on the arrival shuttle, I saw the iconic toolbox on the ground. I clubbed myself in the head with it trying to figure out the controls.
Setting the tool box, now bloodied, back on the table; I went to heal myself with a medkit. I clubbed myself in the head with that too.
I've come a long ways from asking how to switch hands.

The HoP just toolboxes someone to death out of nowhere, then gets speared by a chemist who saw him murder a guy, then the chemist gets beaten to death because someone else saw him kill the HoP.
Tele-man somehow dies and gets its looted by an atmos tech who managed to use it to send two nuke ops to lavaland, who were then surrounded by several very angry people from earlier and some extra golems on top of it.
Captain dies, gets cloned/revived, lasers the guy holding the disk into crit to take it back.
Some idiot tries to welderbomb the AI hiding out at mining for no discernible reason.
Two permabans and a dayban, i'm expecting a snarky appeal from one of them soon. What the fuck.

Well since we already have a face to face up, teach me everything you know. Silly Oranges telling me to go to college when i have the experts watching on hand.

Wait does that mean the KBG codes the russian SS13 servers? Shit! Is the lifeweb dev actually a member of the KBG and/or Vladamir Putin themselves? They used to be head of the KBG so surely they'd know. Maybe that's why the server is so highly rated, specialist teams and all that.

Have you read Ender's Game? SS13 is basically that. You're acting as an advisor to real-life operatives in the field.

Why do you think SOS and MSO can afford top-of-the-line server hardware for a shitty free BYOND game? DoD funding.
