How do I start coding a BYOND game. Can someone please point me in the right direction or give me a guide.

Play the game > find object of interest > know how it works ingame > look at how it works in the code > repeat with different objects

If you don't understand what something does, you have 2 options:

1) look it up on github and see where it's defined
2) press F1 in DM and search if the proc is from byond

Do you mean coding for SS13 specifically, or do you want to make your own game?

BYOND has plenty of resources and tutorials to get you started, this probably isn't the place to seek help if you're making an unrelated project

Why do you want to use BYOND as an engine?

It seems to me there are much better alternatives these days.
