I think that tator clowns should go back to being clumsy
They have a gun specifically for being clumsy that is role restricted to them.

Also why play clown if you're not gonna go all in, antag mimes don't get to break their vow for free.

It does, but the answer is still yes.

Clowns should be clumsy, if you can't even think of funny ways to kill the crew as clown you shouldn't play the role.

Could add a role item to remove clumsy.

It's gonna be hit with antag freeze but I definitely like this one the best. If a clown wants to lose their clumsy they can spend 4 or so TC on it.

Something like this might get a pass seeing as it's an antag nerf, just have to find a maintainer that will appprove it.

Pidgeonholing them as "pick clown car or die" by removing their ability to use weapons or paywalling it behind TC is a pretty dumb idea. We want traitors to be more creative and varied, not less.

Yeah because firing a gun is such a creative galaxy brain move.

Having the option open to them is better than not having it open to them. Also, don't pretend that clumsy only affects guns.

Having the option open to them is actually worse than having it not open to them, and yes accidentally handcuffing yourself is funny. Restrictions are part of what drives creativity, this is a restriction that makes sense and is funny as all heck.

This is so simple and straightforward that I think I'm actually going to pursue maintainer approval to get this done. So glad we could have a thread open for this so we can really see how necessary this change is.

I personally believe if you sign up to say a role/quirk that gimps your character, you shouldn't lose that gimp just because you got antag. Exception being nuke ops where you aren't playing your character (name change) and have to be an asset to the team.

Not only does that prevent meta (oh no the static who is a stuttering pacifist girl doesn't have pacifism this round...) but it also makes the choice of choosing the gimp more impactful. All gimps can be worked around creatively in a round, and most gimps really just make it difficult for you to be in direct combat situations which isn't necessarily a requirement for antagonists.

doesn't matter, the precedent has been set.
