The sand question

If you have a heap of sand and you remove sand from it one grain at a time, at what point does the heap of sand stop being a heap?

I don't like sand. It's coarse, and rough, and irritating, and it gets everywhere.

I don't believe in the social construction of heaps when pile serves the same purpose with less judgement
