tehsteveo was Timmy the Animal and survived
Objective #1: Reunite with Mommy. Fail.
The traitor has failed!
TehSteveo spawned himself as an ascended Shadowling, did nothing but cry about his mommy all round, which is alright, if a little boring.
Until the shuttle arrived, then he murdered people on the shuttle with faithless and gibbed everyone in sight.
K Peculier knew this was shitty behaviour, if not blatantly against the rules for trialmins, and tried to cover for him, a la:

One day Mordecai Aleksander was a head on the shuttle bridge. Frank Smirnov saw this, and did not approve. What follows is the entirety of the encounter:

Poor admin behaviour all around, especially from K Peculier and TehSteveo, one of which I am assuming responded with the incredibly unhelpful rip he now, because they didn't want to distract themselves from killing the crew with faithless and gibs.

IIRC I logged in hella late to this round. So my POV was that there was some event but i have zero idea what it was. And if this is the round I'm thinking of i think i canceled my reply to this ahelp because i had to leave and wouldn't be able to handle the ahelp.

Well, first off apologies if people felt the round was ruined for an impromptu event. It was during lowpopulation and was just something that kinda came spur of the moment as either antags died and things dragged on with nothing happening. That or antags killed everyone and things dragged on with nothing happening.
I'll give some context from my side of things, which is kinda hard to put into words as it's just something that cropped up from player interaction. Most the things started from something that had happened from a previous round. Player decorated their floor with carpeting, used 'rug' power and thus some kittens were spawned. Kitten got killed, player tries to save kitten or replace them but another admin would just kill em as they kept taking another Eventually I spawned an ascended ling named the same as the cat and haunted the player for letting cat die. (I tried giving some fluff spells as seen in the logs but didn't do anything with them. Part of it was me trying to figure out what can work or what doesn't work). Round ends... which that was the only time I attacked someone at Centcomm during the round reboot. This all happened between 10:55-11:19ish in the logs posted by PeopleAreStrange.
Next round I spawned myself at Centcomm to figure out what I can actually use with it. Figured what I wanted out, deleted myself, and observed until a player did a ritual intending to bring back the cat from the previous round. Ritual happens, gibs get spawned, and cat spawned. I just pop out and gib cat to haunt player further. Afterwards I'm dragged around and introduced to the crew as her son, only gibbing people who suicided and occasional animals. Other admin spawns a child protection agent and sends them. This was from 11:30-12:02. Player is sent in as the CentComm Official to collect me and I just sit at Centcomm occasionally using the broadcast for spooks and played with deadchat as there was a few ghost just watching due to the antag clown killing several folk off. That is where I spawned Leo from the ghost, just to gib him at CentComm, for deadchat to have something to laugh at. (12:02-12:20:57 in logs)
I then spent the time observing, watching chat, and ahelps. I wanted to cover the shuttle and make it looked messed up for the ride back. Yet, K Peculiar went ahead and made faithless for the restless deadchat and did something to have a battle when the shuttle came. Command reports were created and a corgi operative was sent to warn people and/or try to get people to join it in the fight. In the meantime I just messed with people spawning some cult objects around the player who did the ritual( as they had suicided) and spawned gibs in the area. Round goes on until the shuttle came. As far as the event with the shuttle...the battle went as expected for the shuttle. Faithless killed the people who came to escape even with several reports about things going down at escape or will go down at escape. Corgi that was sent to help crew couldn't use spells as I guess K peculiar didnt edit them as such. It was suppose to help the crew fight the Faithless but...yeah.
Now at this point I probably made the biggest mistakes for the round. I admit I did gib people who were fighting about on the shuttle. Starting with those killed first by the Faithless yet I eventually just gibbed the few others running about. It was a mistake as I could just stayed, watched, and do nothing really while it happened. Could have just waited at Centcomm otherwise as well. I will learn from this as to not repeat that again. The other mistake was the fact I did gib the guy who attacked and killed the CMO as I figured it could have been divine justice for said act. Yet I regretted that immediately afterwards, as I may have ruined an antag. That is where I went and checked to see if they were antagonist because I may have ruined it for them. Yet they were not, yet I now had the issue of a player just randomly murdering a player. However, I couldn't stick around to ask the player why they decided to randomly kill the CMO. I had to go right as it ended to get ready for a doctors appointment. At which point I should have asked one the admins to handle that for me, yet I had to go and didn't have the time to do so.
Yet I do feel, at least on my end, that there may be overreaction as it almost seems from the OP that the entire round was me going around just gibbing anyone on the station for really no reason which was not the case. Yet, regardless of my feelings I do apologize if things didn't go as expected for folks. Cancel what I said there as it is aimed at the shuttle, so as such I am willing to take any and all blame for what occurred if need-be.

I was a late join into this round, essentially arrived to get aboard the escape shuttle. Didn't know what was going on, but then got killed by the faithless as I tried to board and was then gibbed.
I stand by what I said in OOC. An ascended shadowling is effectively a win condition that is unkillable: It's essentially an admin taking control of a singularity, which I'm pretty sure is an instant deadmin, if that policy didn't change.
Either way, it's obnoxious and didn't really seem like much of an event, much less something a trialmin should even be doing. I was thoroughly annoyed with what happened.

Absolutely not what an admin should be doing, much less a trial. If you're going to spawn yourself as something, let it be for a non-lethal purpose that a regular player probably couldn't fill, IE nonlethal test subjects or legitimate event mobs that are going to be on the roleplay side. The bare minimum to administrating is about having power and not using it to player detriment, and you failed utterly in that aspect.

ok, I had a talk with loller about this. I think the headmins should have been more responsible when taking on trialmins- for too long I think we've relied upon candidates figuring out the rules and mindset by themselves. Not being told these things and being pushed to trialmin with too short of a candidacy makes these things more likely to happen. That being said, I expect trialmins to not do these things in the first place. When you get trialmin, you're being trusted to handle all admin issues when other admins aren't online.
What will result from this is a change in the future about the admin recruiting process and the information available to trialmins. Consequences for tehsteveo will be an auto-extend when their review is up and a demotion afterwards unless they prove to be an incredibly exemplary admin for their current and next month.
It was brought up that trialmins should just be banned from making events but they've got access to them and I'd rather them prove they are capable of being responsible during their trial than being given a free pass to push them after waiting for a month.
I'm gonna consider this resolved. Posting for cathartic relief and not quite steno will be open for 24 hours.
