Coder removed meta from the map rotation if it has already played "because we have other maps". Metastation is the only palpable map and I immediately log off if it aint it. Make better maps and don't force us to play your shitty ones. Revert change and stop letting coders make unilateral decisions that strongly affect the player count

This isn't technically the right forum but I will offer you a response.

We have around six maps available on tgstation right now, and we're carrying the effort of maintaining all of them.

Despite that, the vast majority of rounds are played on meta



The other maps can NEVER have the ability to come up to the same standard of play quality as meta if nobody ever plays on them.

I am unwilling to go back to the monoculture of a single map, but neither do I wish to maintain ~six maps if only one is being used.


Adding a balance to ensure less popular maps get played more often is the only way to ensure that the rest of the maps are eventually accepted and improved upon.

Hmm everyone wants to play on meta, I wonder why.

Maybe because the other maps are trash.

Forcing people to play on the trash maps just makes them leave the server, like I just did. There are currently 25 people on a saturday at 5pm. Think that has something to do with it? Hopefully you guys improve those maps fast.

there are 25 people online because the servers have been chain crashed for 7 days by a DoS exploit.

As said code complaints aren't relevant here.
There's 5 servers running, just switch between them.
