On round 203009, I rolled Heretic as Maia Roentgen. In my time alive, i sacced 1 SSD medical doctor, broke 2 doors, and opened a few rifts. The Abductor HoS saw me at arrivals and batonged me and immidetely brought me to perma, i kept trying to talk to him but he kept batoning me, eventually i get buckle cuffed in perma, so i jaunt right behind him and start talking to him, trying to make a deal. he batoned me and buckle cuffed me again, i jaunt once more right behind him and start talking, this time he beats and shoots me to death, then immediately borged me. This isnt MRP in the slightest, this is something you would expect on an LRP server. i ahelped it and Vekter sided with the hos, calling it a 'valid' interaction

Maia, you know the HoS was an abductor alien because of some stupid April Fool's shit, right? Abductors literally cannot talk to people. I have no idea why you're expecting someone who can't talk to communicate with you.

But, to be fair, I didn't even take that into account when we were talking, so let's go over the reason I marked this as IC. I was told by the HoS that you had been arrested under suspicion of murder because multiple crewmembers said you killed a medical doctor. This seems in line with what you're saying, since them being SSD means they got blown up instead of sent to the shadow realm.

Here's the relevant part of the logs. I do see where you'd told him that you wanted to talk, but you did so by very clearly demonstrating that you had the ability to escape confinement not once, but twice. I understand that you intended to try and bargain for your freedom, but you, despite me asking multiple times for you to explain yourself, haven't actually given me a decent reason as to why you needed to do this. You said in the ticket that it was "more respectable" to talk face to face than while locked up, but all you're really doing here is telling the HoS "I want my freedom but I don't actually have to bargain for it, I can just leave whenever I want". I have no idea why you think Security is going to bargain with you if you're going to make it clear that you can just leave anyway.

I think the main issue here is that we're letting people who are in roles where it's important to RP take a race that literally can't fucking communicate, but I have no control over the April Fool's PRs to begin with.

For what it's worth, I did tell the HoS that they should be trying to talk to you when they can, but I don't really think they're obligated to keep you around if you're making it clear you can just fuck off whenever you want anyway.

Headmins can do whatever they want with this, but given your frankly awful behavior in deadchat and consistent insults thrown at me when I don't rule in your favor, it's pretty clear this is motivated more out of anger at me than actual concern that I'm not upholding the rules the way they should be.

In this case, we stand behind Vekter's ruling and see no real issue with it. The HoS had no verbal way to communicate with you and you kept demonstrating that the cuffs wouldn't hold you.
