On engineering and engines

Ok, yes I understand that we just went through a transition to the supermatter.
However: What about other options?
Is it possible to give the station a way to operate on geothermal/have geothermal as a backup power source?
Is the planet bright enough to support solars (although on low capacity since you're in an atmosphere so it's blocking some light)?
How do you COOL the supermatter engine? I mean, if we could do that I'd say use the oceans, and use thermal exchange pipes for that, but otherwise, is engineering to rely on coolers?

what about antimatter? Is that an option maybe?

Let the chief engineer decide what engine to use, from antimatter to geothermal. Maybe have a couple superior engines not be available,

If you mess it up, it thoroughly fucks up the planets seasons, making it always night time and very very cold with rapidly changing weather (usually bad weather).

Or you could set up solars, you lazy shit

At this time we will be using supermatter
