your idea threads get less and less verbose by the day

edit: that being said, beyond the complete lack of any detail whatsoever in this post it's not the worst idea I've ever heard

maybe make diseases require more than scan > eat the reagent for the cure

I hope to incorporate this idea somehow. Maybe not as mosquitos but plants and animals should be capable of infecting players with randomized viruses.

Maybe different plants could have the correct chemicals for the cure so assitant huts can live off the land.

Someone with the right metaknowledge could recognize the sickness and know which plant to use to cure it like some kind of master medieval herbalist.

Hermit herbalist could be a nice neutral ghost role/tutorial ruin for this.

Better make them non-contagious.

Or if you're feeling nice he can wait outside until a biosuit doctor comes and helps him

Hey yeah like a quarentine area where people who have been exposed from to the hazards of the planet get decontaminated before coming back in. This would be really cool

This is a great idea and the proper layout of the station within the walls is starting to form in my head because of this thank you

Will the mech bay be directly adjacent to the outside for some multi-occupant vehicular fun?

I never really got a reply on the jobs thread about whether monkeys dispersed post crash, but i definitely think that if there are monkeys that are deep in the jungle after dispersing post-crash landing (lets say a box of monkey cubes fell in a wet puddle) they should most definitely be passive carriers of these diseases compared to monkeys made out of biogen/cubes in the station for virology.

Actually virology & pathogens might actually be more/less useful here if there are certain disease immunities used by monkeys (stay alive long enough to develop a human vaccine) as the virologist would need to assess the quarantine dangerous subjects (meaning you can just move the virologist to this quarantine area, a backdoor out of medical or public offshoot of the heavy R-wall disease lab)

That and disease development of cultivating natural viruses into more positive/negative ones (because you don't have culture bottles anymore regularly from cargo)
