Nuclear disk inspection team

Post by ironsnake345 » #571375

The concept of the event is simple: It's time for a surprise inspection of the station's nuclear authentication disk, and Centcom has sent a team of 3 or 4 officers to carry out the inspection. They arrive on station, announce their presence, and (professionally and politely) try to get the disk from the captain, for inspection. If they do get a hold of the disk, they pass it around for an inspection, then say that the contacts are a bit scuffed, and that the disk should probably be cleaned. Fortunately, they happen to have the necessary equipment to clean the disk on the ship they took to the station. They then attempt to bring the disk onto their ship, and take it into the back, refusing to let any on-station personnel on board as it's "highly classified centcom dealings" onboard. If the crew allows this, they spend a bit fixing up the disk away from the station's prying eyes, then bring it back on board, hand it off to the captain, thank him for his cooperation, and head back to centcom. If the inspection goes off without a hitch, the station gets a fat reward from centcom for showing exemplary compliance with centcom random inspections, in the form of a bunch of credits, a "repossessed" bulk crate of syndicate equipment, or similar.

If at any point the station's crew attempts to harm or detain the inspection crew (beyond assistants just being assistants) they turn tail and flee, vowing as they return to centcom (if they can) that this transgression won't be forgotten. Shortly after, Centcom notifies the station that in a random inspection, it was discovered that the station is harboring syndicate loyalists who attempted to harm and/or detain official, licensed centcom officers, and that they're sending a deathsquad to clear the station out, thus getting rid of any syndicate on board - with the station's crew and captain being acceptable losses, for the incompetence of letting syndicate operatives on board and not expunging them before they attempted to harm central command (and also for possibly being said syndicate agents in disguise)

In short: a team of centcom agents comes on board behaving suspiciously like a team of nukies, asks to inspect the disk, notes that it needs a bit of restoring, takes it on their ship, then gives it back with a fat reward. If the crew attacks or detains them, they get a deathsquad.
