Centcom Inspection: Co-Op Campaign

Post by Epicgamer545 » #656682

Okay, so, you know those Centcom Officials that comes onto the station most of the time to do a “general” check on the station and then leave? Well, that’s a solo campaign. Wouldn’t we make more profit if we made a separate Co-Op campaign for all the casual players? Well, now you can play with your friend on the couch because you are both bored as hell and have no idea what to do!

Jokes aside, here’s the pitch; standard Centcom Inspection, but instead of there being ONE person, there’s two. One is red, and one is blue. The two will not be hostile to each other, nor be a nuisance to each other by grief-ing each other (though, competition is acceptable, you’ll see why). Of course, the Centcom shirts can be Var-edited to be colored red or blue, instead of creating new sprites.

Now, here’s their objective. Both of them will have a paper and a pen, and both of them will be expected to expect all departments (Engineering, Medical, Science, Security, Service, Supply, and maybe even command). Basically, their paperwork will be compared with each other, and grammar, detail, and performance will be accounted for. Of course, they can do gimmicks as well, such as inspecting the AI, inspecting the disk, and contributing to their paper (while also trying to get out alive!). The person with the best paper, reviewed by a commander, or maybe a set of judges, will win the title of “CENTRAL COMMAND PAPER PUSHER CHAMPION(!)”.

Below is a little short plan for who does what:

The Crew:
The crew, no matter the department, will be inspected. The crew will be given a little notice (first, a warning that a inspection will be done this shift, classified to the command members, then a station wide notice that the inspection will be given in 10 minutes) to organize their departments to (sub-par) perfection. This includes some resemblance to standard procedure, being active, and improving their workplace better when they arrived. This encourages the heads of staff to improve their department and to be active and communicate instead of just running around all shift. Of course, some people on the crew may be a traitor/antag/otherwise, so they may be compelled to hurt the Centcom official(s) and cause chaos. Of course, this presents a challenge to the Centcom Duo.

The Duo:
They will be given standard Centcom gear and sent in the ferry (maybe one with only two seats?) once the notice for inspection has passed. They will be expected to inspect every department, including talking with the command commanding the department. Of course, there will be present problems with interacting with the station, and they may be harmed and may be unable to return to Centcom. However, if they both return with the inspection being complete, they will both be judged on their paper. If a person is unable to return to Centcom, they will be disqualified and the person present will win. However if one doesn’t return, a ERT may still be sent to the station under the threat of a Security breach under the commander’s choice.

The Admins:
Do whatever you want to make the event more challenging and intertaining. You may supervise the duo or send a team to ruin the crew’s progress. It will be your choice to entertain the players.
