Ban type (What are you banned from?): server
Ban reason and length: Netspeak "lol" 15 minutes
Time ban was placed (including time zone): 07:26:18 GMT+10
Server you were playing when banned (Sybil or Bagil): Sybil
Your side of the story: First time i have ever spawned as nuke ops (I'm fairly new) and a team member suggests that we use romorel as the station would probably just go to shit anyway. I respond with "lol" i realised it was netspeak after i said it (I sometimes say lol out of reflex) but didn't think much of it, and i'll explain if i get the bwoink... a few minutes later i suddenly get a ban for netspeak. No bwoink or anything just a ban, after my ban was up i rejoined a while later and mentioned it in ooc where an admin told me to put an appeal here because they were not supposed to do that. (I think it was NeccormanerAnne that told me)


Why you think you should be unbanned: I am currently not serving the ban for that just to be clear. (Although i am serving a ban for something else which i think is reasonable and i don't think i should appeal it) But i would like to A: shed some light on this problem that a few other people have experienced B: Get the note removed.

I'm denying this.

You had a recent OOC in IC infraction before the ban took place, and its standard procedure to follow that up with a short ban.

Simple as that.

As I resolve this thread I would like to state that admins should at least be saying why you're being banned before they do so, however the ban is certainly valid.
