Actually went on Basil and asked us what we want admin-wise.

I am ecstasy.

Honestly an extremely competent and effective admin.

I imagine he is going to be one of the best admins we have.

Makes nice sprites, asks questions, conducts investigations pretty well.

Somehow managed to skip candidacy and became a trial instantly, although there might be more to that story I'm unaware of.

I bribed my way in with sprites, Scones. Nah I asked for tempmins/admin candidates from Jordie and Leibniz in the two previous weeks prior to being trialminned, where I picked up the basics of investigations and whatnot.

Also thanks for the feedback, any feedback will be appreciated and taken onboard, and I'll continue to try and do my best.

Handles a large volume of ahelps by himself pretty well, great work.

To be fair I saw Ausops being admin candidated for some time in game, so its not just a case of him being thrown into a Trialmin position off the bat.

Ausops is probably my new favorite admin, even if he didn't dump a link to this thread in OOC when I asked him to.

He handled an issue another player had taken with my actions with the utmost courtesy (even waiting for a response when I dealt with greytiders or some other shit). From being around him it seems like he knows the admin's job is to help out players as an equal, not dictate to them as a some sort of space-king.

Overall my favorite member of the fun police.

Talking about unsubstantiated, unproven and unfounded rumours about what I may or may not do outside of administrating the game is clearly not the purpose of this thread. I don't draw smut, let's just lay this ridiculous rumour to rest.

Literally who, I never saw him before he was an admin, which makes me worried that he didn't spend much time immersed in the server/community culture before being given power over regular players.

He seems okay, that being said.

I don't know, Tunder, I don't think you should be criticising other people's involvement in the community when you don't contribute much yourself. Ausops is a lot more involved in the community than you are, and he has been for a long time. For a while he's been around under a different name, though, so that may have been why you don't recognize his name exactly.

Pretty sure he sprited a shitton of objects in the game, for example the nuke op base, the gateway, the particle accelerator and cult constructs just to name a few off the top of my head.

He's also very active in policy and development discussion and is probably the most insightful person I've ever met here.

Wow, really?

Ausops is not reed glover, however ausops has been around awhile like ikarrus said, under a different name. Dude is also the best spriter out there, period. Also is a pretty good admin that I've seen.

I'm not Reed but yes, I was going under different names for a while. I can assure you Tunder, that for better or worse, I do spend a lot of time here and do try to keep up to date with things.

I think it was originally Ausops then Imblyings, there was a long period of time (I think around during the forum split when Erro went nuts) is when Ausops disappeared for a while.

I do recall that Ausops was responsible for spriting up the Corporate Sec Uniforms on Singulo, which in turn led to even more (fun) controversy when Paprika kept demanding more out of Ausops for the sprites or something. Also the tactical armour sec sprites are his as well as a crap ton more of stuff I can't recall.

Gets myImage of approval.

Does a good job of keeping the low pop hours interesting and giving dead players something to do.

Ausops ran a breddygud monster hunter event on sybil today.
He spawned a asteroid, along with a syndie shuttle around the station, and then made a centcom announcement about starting a monster hunter guild. He came aboard the station as a admiral, distributing hardsuits, rifles and drills to all who wished to hunt.
He then promised a TC reward, making everyone pseudo-traitors with the objective to hunt monsters, and not harm other hunters or civilians.
In the end the event went pretty well, but it was abruptly disrupted by 4 blobs around the two hour mark.
He managed a massive IC workload pretty well, adding tc, speaking IC, and firing his staff of healing at the same time.
The only complaint I have that there could have been some delegation in the workload, the event would have ran much more smoothly if one admin had taken care of traitoring new hunters, one admin had taken care of handing out the TC in return of the mob corpses, and one had overseen it all.
Or whatever, I don't know.
Great event anyhow. A+, would play again.

Did a really great job running said above event. Was a lot of work and was really quick to handle requests. I was playing at the time and It worked really well, even saw them handle a few ahelps at the same time. Most impressed!

Delegating some stuff over would have been easier, there were definitely some things I wanted to do or things that could have been made more exciting but I couldn't because I was stuck in the chapel.

That being said, when the round had started, I was the only admin on so I guess I zoned out to that possibility when getting stuck into the rhythm of juggling the various IC stuff happening. Having more admins involved might have meant monster respawns or even the occasional monster boss or two.

Was willing to take a significant chunk of time to experiment with removing my cat-status in the middle of the round, and dealing with the hilarious aftermath resulting from the Captain walking in at the last second. Cool guy.

Fun to hang out with during late night hours while admining. Even if he lives on a isle full of convicts.

Great admin, all interactions have been positive. As others have said, he does a great job of spicing up slow rounds/low-pop and getting people back into the game without disrupting the flow too much. Recently he did a "non-human migration" mini event on Sybil with about 30 players on, ended up being five of us plasmamen migrating to ss13, attempting to get jobs and integrate with the crew. If it hadn't be immediately ruined by a dickhead murderboner (bombed fnr literally less than two minutes after arriving at the station), it was set up to be a lot of fun, get people back in the round, and incite what was some pretty great roleplay out of Sybilites. 10/10.

Helped out with an instance of bad people doing bad things and we sleuthed out their other bad behaviors together. Was fun. Said I had "good instincts"

Also suggested Jordie for good kangaroo sex, I appreciated that.

Been doing a kick ass job of resolving dangling FNR threads rather than letting the bans play out until it is a non-issue, makes good calls, is a good headmin.

While I utterly disagree with the decision being made, I too echo the sentiment.

I don't want him gone or deadmined. Before this I had no issue with Ausops.
