If you're from the UK and noticed on the telly that the BBC have been advertising The Mash Report, don't bother.

Somehow the BBC couldn't pay for the insightful minds of Have I Got News for You and wound up unable to pay for the quantity of cast that Mock the Week has so they have turned to cutting edge satire of swearing and pointing at a thing and telling you to laugh at the thing. It is as lowbrow as Russell Howard or rather if you saw their trailer, you've seen it all, there are just twenty more quips as bad as the first slagging off the same topic:

Time.com - British People Are So Lonely That They Now Have a Minister for Loneliness wrote:The U.K. has appointed a minister for loneliness to deal with what Prime Minister Theresa May called “the sad reality of modern life” for too many people.

Last year, a British commission found that nearly nine million people in the country either often, or always, feel loneliness — a condition that can have harmful health repercussions.

“I want to confront this challenge for our society and for all of us to take action to address the loneliness endured by the elderly, by carers, by those who have lost loved ones — people who have no one to talk to or share their thoughts and experiences with,” May said on Wednesday before appointing the minister Tracey Crouch, according to the New York Times.

Average IQ in the west has gone down on account of immigration
Turns out if you bring in a large group of people with lower IQ than the natives, the average IQ in the nation goes down
The average for this is between 1 to 5 points per country
Meanwhile, countries that have strict immigration policies such as Japan and Switzerland did not see this effect. Same for countries nobody wants to immigrate to like China and eastern europe

"Government shutdown" means that the party not in power throws a wrench in the machine and the party in power complains that they shouldn't have for the greater good. Republicans did it to Obama and now dems are doing it to Trump.

And Dems did it to Bush. This happens all the fucking time but people pretend its news when its really just the same political dog and pony show every couple of years.

Yeah why would anyone use the cheapest labor possible instead of paying workers a fair wage??? It's really beyond me

If anything, blame capitalism.

That depends on your definition of "crippled", pretty much every corporation relies on slave labor in some shithole country and I'm sure they'd take a huge hit if this cheap workforce was suddenly taken away from them. The only difference is that California companies are doing it at home. But that's sort of a tradition, didn't they use to enslave fellow americans too, at least according to The Grapes of Wrath?

I'm confused by the no human is illegal rhetoric. Is that just a protester's slogan or is that the blue party's stance? Would Murica even enjoy opening up their borders again to potentially rival China's the EU's population? Or am I misinterpreting the message?

How do you live without a social party garnering votes? Labour at least pretend to be in the UK, two decades ago, in name, they're trying really hard to not drink their champagne on camera or have MPs from the same European school as the rest.

Basically that

If you can't win democrasy, import more people to vote for you. Same thing happening here with muslims, they all vote for the people who opened the borders.
Not because they're ideologically a match, they really aren't. But because that way they can get more muslims to immigrate and then they can start their own muslim political parties once there's enough of them. And now the open borders idiots have even more competition because what the shit did they think would happen? Permanent votes for them?

It has already happened here, it's going to happen in other countries too

Maybe you should devolve power far enough to let the states have their own passports and require state level citizenship alongside local residency to vote. :^]

Then the blue states can keep free movement and voting whilst the red states can have booble communities.

Just switch to a voting system that doesn't support stalemates. FPTP voting, according to basic game theory, will ALWAYS devolve into a two party system due to it being the Nash Equilibrium

If you adopted proportionate voting, how would you prevent two parties amassing with the excuse of "If you vote for us, we'll stop them from doing shit you don't like because your smaller fringe parties can't!"

If you adopted some sort of layered instant runoff voting, how would you prevent goof always leading in the polls and only losing to a party that everyone else liked more than him and more people liked than any other party, e.g. moderate/centre parties that long time voters are familiar with and don't consider fringe?

Or is the point to make the large leads smaller and punish fringe parties less? I'm forgetful.

The idea is to let people rank their votes in order of preference. After the voting is closed, you tally the votes up and eliminate the biggest loser. You recount every vote there to see everyone who ranked them as their number one and see what their number 2 vote is and shuffle the votes to their second preferred party. You check again and eliminate the newest biggest loser and you repeat this process until you have a winner.

It's specifically designed to eliminate strategic voting and give third party candidates a fighting chance.

An in practice example: I really like the Monster Raving Loony Party but they're too small to make an impact and I'll jsut throw my vote away. I don't like the conservative party but I really don't like the labour or lib dems more so I guess I'll vote conservative.
Under a ranked voting system, you could rank your favourite party (even if they're minor or new) as your number one and even if they don't win, your vote won't be "wasted", it'll go to your next favourite parties. Most Two-Party system will strangle ranked voting systems in their crib because it means they'll have actual competition in the future.

You remember how hard they fought against the Alternative Vote referendum in 2011? Where they actually lied about the costs (And even the figure they were claiming was exorbitant was effectively nothing compared to the budget).

It is more important that they put the figure out of context, like you said, than it being a lie. The same as £350 million a week for the NHS and the other we gave the NHS X amount more this year but secretly took away Y amount and Y amount is more than X.

And they claimed baby girls would die if we picked AV.

And that soldiers won't have armour vests if we picked AV.

And that AV is loik really hard to understand guyz if we just babble into the camera like someone who isn't reading the book they've been given.

And that AV winds up with a party that promises tax cuts and everything you want but then it causes a coalition, meaning they don't have to give us anything in their manifesto. ha ha ha totally didn't happen twice since then without AV.

I'm not surprised bethsda's Fallouts are filled with raiders. For without law, or steep prices, we are naught but maniacs.
Nutella 'riots' spread across French supermarkets wrote:A discount on Nutella has led to violent scenes in a chain of French supermarkets, as shoppers jostled to grab a bargain on the sweet spread.

Intermarché supermarkets offered a 70% discount on Nutella, bringing the price down from €4.50 (£3.90) to €1.40.

But police were called when people began fighting and pushing one another.

"They are like animals. A woman had her hair pulled, an elderly lady took a box on her head, another had a bloody hand," one customer told French media.

A member of staff at one Intermarché shop in central France told the regional newspaper Le Progrès: "We were trying to get in between the customers but they were pushing us."

All of its stock was snapped up within 15 minutes and one customer was given a black eye, the report adds.

Similar scenes have been reported across France, with some being described as "riots".

The hunt for discounted jars continued on Friday, with shoppers in a supermarket near Toulouse being handed just one each

The only way to tell the difference between male and female griffon vultures is through DNA testing, which was done in Tenerife when Harold was a chick.
