Bottom post of the previous page:

Learned I'm way too good at lying, don't exactly feel good about it since I hate lying.

Went to a job interview for a bookstore, they did this thing where they asked the other applicants and I to pick something off of a table and try to sell it to them. I picked up the only thing not a book or book-related on the entire table and lied like I knew what I was talking about for a good five minutes and thought I did awful. Turns out they liked me the most out of all the other interviewees.

Guess it goes to show that as long as you sound like you know what you're talking about, people will listen.

You really can't oversell the value of apparent confidence, which sucks because I can't even fake that shit.

Watching John Wick for the first time. Man oh man is William Dafoe lookin old

EDIT: Fugg that was good, who knew something as simple as hiring a cameraman who does not have parkinsons could improve an action flick so much

I watched Taken 3 and the camera never stopped moving, no matter what. Every scene was a tracking shot. It was horribly annoying.

Sore losers and casinos don't mix well. Too bad for me I am both a sore loser and in a casino... and unlucky.

Whoever said Reno pays out better than Vegas can go suck a lemon.

Maybe try Primm next time? Granted I only play the slots, but I didn't feel like a loser.

I could walk to a casino from my house in under 20 minutes but I haven't been there in the eight months I've lived here.

Probably just as well, since I don't have much money, less luck, and even less skill.

Man, Garrus Vakarian is one of my favorite game characters. Went from renegade cop on the edge to the Punisher in space, all while being totally bro-tier. The first time i played ME2 that reveal when you first see him blew my fucking mind.

The reveal wasn't much of a surprise, honestly. Turian sniper wearing blue and black, and exclusively blasting criminals? Ever met another one of those?

But, yeah, Garrus FTW. (I mean, turians in general tend to be the most awesome characters. Hello, Saren, you were one impressive shitbag.)

Well today is a historic day for my family. After 275ish years, our ancestral family villa is back in our hands and back to its former condition. Evidently my third uncle has done rather well for himself and got sick of seeing the ol' villa rot away, so he bought it and the surrounding 80 acres from the government. Today he officially finished his renovations and the whole village is throwing a party.

I'm actually pretty sad I couldn't afford the plane ticket to go. It might be for the best though, although this whole thing was very good of my third uncle to do he maintains a very... precarious position in my family. I'm not sure I want to be associated with him at this point. Even if there would be wine and qt grills.

Turns out Microsoft has just made it available to start that "Free upgrade" program.

Y'know, I don't like this job, but a lot of days it's rather sedate. Unless someone asks for something specific I just go through similar motions everyday, and that can be comforting and relaxing if I'm really damn tired. If only I got paid enough to make up for the weird-ass hours, crappy location, boredom, and complete lack of satisfaction.

30 is a milestone of depression where you tell yourself you'll be old by the time you hit 40. 40 is the birthday you want to forget. 50 is when you get food and liquor for presents, which indicates that yes, you are indeed old.

I turned 29 last month and the knowledge that I may have ten years left in me before my body passes the threshold of physical potential for healing, improvement, and fitness is constantly gnawing at me.

I'm beginning to think working in a call center was a bad idea.

> Try to explain to him that the tracking number I'm seeing in our system is incorrect and how I need the right tracking number to find it.
> He snaps and starts complaining about how "I'm probably not following the script that was given to me" and rants about how this would be unacceptable at the call center he worked at demands to speak to my manager
> Just call my manager and let him deal with this stupid fuck
> Listen in, the managers ripping the faggot a new asshole and basically telling him the same shit I told him but in a way only a manager would ever get away with.

He's fucking right though. I wasn't following a script because I don't have some dumb shit script to follow because I'm actually working at a call center where you're expected to go through two months of training, get certified, and have at least a fair bit of technical support and billing support background, plus maintain decent stats as opposed to, you know, some shit hole in India where the the building reeks of cow shit and burnt Indian food and customers just sort of expect to be treated like fucking garbage because Abdul the Bovine Humping Hajii AKA Steve can barely speak fucking English and "resolves" a fucking crashing device issue by telling the customer to call fucking billing.

Fuck, I need to get back into the IT field. I love the pay, I love the way the company treats us like real people as opposed to horses meant to be sent to the glue factory once we stop being useful so they can bring in some poor new bastards to be treated the same way, and I love the benefits but I can't stand the people I have to deal with treating me like I'm some kind of retarded monkey banging away on a keyboard.

Just needed to rant about that before I blew up. Also this job will make you extremely racist against Indians. I'm constantly getting fucked by dipshit customer service reps in India who just decide "Oh hey, I'm too fucking stupid to figure this out so I'll give the customer some bullshit information and then let Advanced Support deal with the consequences!" and then suddenly I've got Joe Smith calling in pissed off because he was told by the last stupid fuck he talked to that he could use his tablet as a phone when guess what? You fucking can't with AT&T or Mary Smith calling in tears because she lost all her daughters' graduation photos because some heartless cunt in Customer Service told her to do a factory reset on her phone without telling her to back up her shit. Oh and you better bet your ass that stupid whore who just cost this woman photos she'll never get back didn't even bother trying anything else like updating the app that kept crashing.

Write Spanish names without it looking like a jumbled mess

I've had a Spanish woman threaten to get me fired when she spelt the name wrong to me . (I always read back the order and show it to them for anything I missed)

I went to a friendly little Smash 4 tournament today expecting decent results, and got knocked out of winners by the best player in my region (I'm still not sure how or why he had heard of our little tournament) on bracket two. Then in losers I got matched with my second worst matchup and barely beat him, and immediately following him I was matched up with my number one worst matchup. I got eliminated really early.
Later on I played the guy that came second overall (first place going to the guy that knocked me out of winners) in a friendly, and decimated him. The guy that knocked me out of losers also immediately lost his next set against a character that my character does well against. If I had played literally anyone else I would've placed second and scored sixty bucks. :salt:

At least they had free pizza.
