fucking new youtube bar thing is amazing. for the longest time it's always fucking annoyed me because it like got in the way but now it's crystal clear 10/10

Finally made it out to my friendly tobacconist. These guys have been in business for ages and are great. I bought my first pipe from them years ago.

On the left is their Cherry Zinger blend, which is an aromatic. That basically means it smells good for other people around you while still being pleasant and having an "unnatural" flavor to it. It's kind of like comparing cloves to cigarettes, only this still has tobacco blended in it.

On the right is their Rum Rummer blend, which is the typical kind of Kentucky Gold/Black Cavendish blend I like. Seems pretty standard to me as far as pipe tobacco goes.

I brought my corncob pipe into work today because people kept making fun of me and calling me a Hipster Sea Captain. I spent some time today just doing my work with it jutting out of the corner of my mouth, got a few laughs. Good times.

Also needed some pipe cleaners. Had totally forgotten, but when the woman behind the counter (the tobacco shop is owned/run by this kind old lady, when I walked in the door today she was hanging out playing solitaire in the back smoking a hand-rolled cigar) reminded me I snapped some up.

EDIT: Eh I can't find a good stock photo of my favorite pipe. It's a Jean Lacroix Nizza "De Luxe" 861. That probably doesn't mean shit. It's a bent billiar pipe made of briar. That probably doesn't mean shit to you either.

So let's just say it looks a lot like this one:



and is pretty old. Not ancient but older even than LGC.

I'm happy I finally got around to stocking up again. I'm on my third pack of cigarettes since I last had pipe tobacco and they're fucking disgusting. You can't tell how shitty cigarettes make you feel until you quit smoking them for a bit and return. If you like anxiety, increased heart rate, and muscle tension all over your body you'll love smoking those fucking things.

The Rum Runner is so delicious I have to keep spitting when I smoke it.

Not because of pipe bite but because I keep salivating, and I don't want my saliva to get into the stem and run down into the tobacco.

It tastes like rum and chocolate and spice with a little bit of bite and that faint but rich taste of raw tobacco.

Thanks I'll keep an eye out for it. You can purchase a lot of pipe tobacco online but I like patronizing the few local stores there are left. I haven't tried the Cherry I got yet but it smells like a bag of twizzlers.

Nope.
Furanocoumarin, ie the shit that causes extremely photosensitive skin and thus burns is also very susceptible to thermal breakdown. It'll break down extremely readily at temperatures reached in a fire.

Speaking of tobacco (like 20 posts back) I quit cigarettes last month and used some of the money I would've spent on smokes to buy some books.

I was bored, Here's a Maintenance drone, only a 100 sample render.
According to IRC logs it took me about 2 hours 30 minutes, although I suspect the first half hour was just me relearning blender (hadn't used it in about 3-4 Months)

I used to crank my own cigarettes trying to save money, and that worked pretty well, I'd get a carton for about 20 bucks, but the cigarettes were inferior. but it kept me going for quite a while.

Ecigs on the other hand, I ordered a 6 bottle sample on july 12 from vapewild, which gives you 6 10 ml bottles for sixteen bucks or so, (I ordered with a buddy, if you buy more than 30 dollars you get free shipping) and I still have about 2 and a quarter bottles worth of fluid left.

so... yeah, I'm assuming I'll still have fluid in two days so that's gonna have lasted me a whole month for just that.
and it's better for you too supposedly, lungs feel clearer, that's for sure.
