Hello! I'm back to told you about the new project.
Please, don't wipe that topic, I have really cool news.

I'm sure, that most of you played TG-fallout13. A lot of time passed, since it was updated. It was be something like unfinished alpha or something like.
But now, I want to told you about the New version - newTG-fallout13. This build use new TG codebase, includes all of it features in - like a amputable limbs and coloured lights. Most of fallouters wishes that thing, yeah?
Sure, this is not all! There is some new, really new cool features.

*Exclusive sound and ambient system (just wait for release and listen up!)
*Daytime passing. Sunset is unreal nice-looking! (for top-down2d game, ofc.)
*campfires
*New, extended map, with the RANDOM generation.
*Hunger, deadly starving and thirst.
*Overhauled transport. Let's FORGET about key in your hand! Now, all of you need - just insert key and start engine. Started engine eats fuel. The fuel is liquid (this is NOT petrol) and you can find it at the Red rocket gas stations or barrels.
*Walls is more realistic now. Wooden walls is the walls of wood, not metal. You cant wield it anymore, you must to find sledgehammer and smash it.
*Tamed animals! You're able to tame dogs or the bears and will take command them by saying some keywords.
*You unable able see, what's happens in the back of your character.
*And some less important things.

Estimated time of release: the end of the march - begin of the april.

Calm down, I think, when build will became final version, source will be opened for TG team. Why so much panic? Don't be so misery.
Last time we was released very raw alpha with the opensource. You must understand, that raw wersion is not good. So, what's happend? Anyone who is not lazy took it and host. Some people look on this and pinned label "Just SS13 resprite!!! No features!!! A bucket of brahmin shit!!!". So, first stage of the project is just a basis, I do not denie that. But when really features (day/night, hunger/thirst) was appeared, nobody one is not even notice it, because it just drowned in shitty subbuilds with inadeqate ERP mechanic. Some people has mixed up outdated version of the F13-ERP-edition and upgraded F13 with the new features. There were cases, when banned people from ERP-edition was written our admins to unban, but they But they do not have the slightest relation for F13ERP.
When the team realized that it really hampered, source became closed.
Sure, there is 2 evils - opensource whith a problems, written me above and closed source with the problem of relationships of original TG content of the owner. But this is so stupid.The problem is solved in a different way. This is called a compromise.
I suggest you to call creator of F13 - Bart Nixon and discuss that problem, not resorting to resentment. Bart is the most equitable and smart man, what I even know. A grudge is a heavy burden to carry.

I think you'll change your mind when F13 will released. Because even "raw" alpha is very popular, though, only "resprited vanilla". F13 dev's is not to capture of money from players, they do not have a lifeweb-style price list, but only donations for hosting and some "пиво".

That's an extremely disrespectful point of view goof, as you're saying you don't give a damn about the wishes of the other coders for this codebase, a number of which, including myself, would not like their code to be used in a closed source codebase.

It's perfectly fine for them to develop the codebase in private. They are mentioning hosting public servers with it soon, which is where AGPL requires open source.

I have nothing against the developers personally. I just don't want to have other people get ideas that it's fine to ignore the license and stay closed source.

That sounds like if the Counter Strike dev has been stealed half-life engine, or DoTA stealed warcraft3 engine. Pointless and ruthless.
Some guys from american community not so long ago are tried to develope F13 by closed source, without permit of Bart Nixon. Why they did not do this? Because they didn't do anything, LoL.

I would like to publicly denounce the FALLOUT INTERNATIONAL server for using stolen code and attempting to name the server "NEW CODE" claiming work that was not done by them after fooling both the founder of the project Bart Nixon and his head coder into giving them access. I hope the community at least will denounce their effort to claim credit.

So much has changed overtime, but I still contribute to the build that is now a closed source.
By the way, I believe it will get open sourced once again - the main reason it became closed in the first place, was a fairly significant competition and a need to attract coders to a centralized development.
If we get to open source the build, my GitHub will be the place to find it.
So, closing build is temporary actions for the protection of development and protection from uncontrolled reproduction of the dead-end branches (Yeah, I mean less-edited stupidly ERP-editions without any really new code, calling themselves "NEW CODE!"). When it was finished (v 2.0), source will be open again.
Just look the new release and then make your opinion.
