Time.com - British People Are So Lonely That They Now Have a Minister for Loneliness wrote:The U.K. has appointed a minister for loneliness to deal with what Prime Minister Theresa May called “the sad reality of modern life” for too many people.

Last year, a British commission found that nearly nine million people in the country either often, or always, feel loneliness — a condition that can have harmful health repercussions.

“I want to confront this challenge for our society and for all of us to take action to address the loneliness endured by the elderly, by carers, by those who have lost loved ones — people who have no one to talk to or share their thoughts and experiences with,” May said on Wednesday before appointing the minister Tracey Crouch, according to the New York Times.

Average IQ in the west has gone down on account of immigration
Turns out if you bring in a large group of people with lower IQ than the natives, the average IQ in the nation goes down
The average for this is between 1 to 5 points per country
Meanwhile, countries that have strict immigration policies such as Japan and Switzerland did not see this effect. Same for countries nobody wants to immigrate to like China and eastern europe

"Government shutdown" means that the party not in power throws a wrench in the machine and the party in power complains that they shouldn't have for the greater good. Republicans did it to Obama and now dems are doing it to Trump.
And Dems did it to Bush. This happens all the fucking time but people pretend its news when its really just the same political dog and pony show every couple of years.

Commiefornia outdoes itself and imposes a 10k fine to businesses that release information to ICE related investigations or queries.

I eagerly await the day the National Guard comes and rips them a new one. Sadly, knowing the demographics there, they'll probably enjoy it.

Yeah why would anyone use the cheapest labor possible instead of paying workers a fair wage??? It's really beyond me

If anything, blame capitalism.

I think its more of "how do you cripple your economy so badly that it cannot function without exploiting illegal labor?"

That depends on your definition of "crippled", pretty much every corporation relies on slave labor in some shithole country and I'm sure they'd take a huge hit if this cheap workforce was suddenly taken away from them. The only difference is that California companies are doing it at home. But that's sort of a tradition, didn't they use to enslave fellow americans too, at least according to The Grapes of Wrath?

Illegals work for cheap making rich people more rich

Basically that

If you can't win democrasy, import more people to vote for you. Same thing happening here with muslims, they all vote for the people who opened the borders.
Not because they're ideologically a match, they really aren't. But because that way they can get more muslims to immigrate and then they can start their own muslim political parties once there's enough of them. And now the open borders idiots have even more competition because what the shit did they think would happen? Permanent votes for them?

It has already happened here, it's going to happen in other countries too

Just switch to a voting system that doesn't support stalemates. FPTP voting, according to basic game theory, will ALWAYS devolve into a two party system due to it being the Nash Equilibrium

Re: 2k18 /pol/

Posted: Wed Jan 24, 2018 12:44 pm
by Anonmare
The idea is to let people rank their votes in order of preference. After the voting is closed, you tally the votes up and eliminate the biggest loser. You recount every vote there to see everyone who ranked them as their number one and see what their number 2 vote is and shuffle the votes to their second preferred party. You check again and eliminate the newest biggest loser and you repeat this process until you have a winner.

It's specifically designed to eliminate strategic voting and give third party candidates a fighting chance.

An in practice example: I really like the Monster Raving Loony Party but they're too small to make an impact and I'll jsut throw my vote away. I don't like the conservative party but I really don't like the labour or lib dems more so I guess I'll vote conservative.
Under a ranked voting system, you could rank your favourite party (even if they're minor or new) as your number one and even if they don't win, your vote won't be "wasted", it'll go to your next favourite parties. Most Two-Party system will strangle ranked voting systems in their crib because it means they'll have actual competition in the future.

You remember how hard they fought against the Alternative Vote referendum in 2011? Where they actually lied about the costs (And even the figure they were claiming was exorbitant was effectively nothing compared to the budget).

Meanwhile the Australian government sold 2 heavy cabinets with missing keys and the person who bought them just used power tools to get them open and wowee full of secret documents back to the Howard era including the strategy to their dumpster fire of an NBN.
"Telstra will initially approach the government with a number of proposals which the government will need to politely but firmly resist," one document reads.

"The strategy is … [for Telstra to] ultimately approach government to invest or use NBN Co's network on the government's terms."
Then the fucking retards bought telstra's unmaintained assets for a motza, master negotiators.

Proves that there's essentially Sub-saharan African levels of corruption, but it's likely that none of them will ever get arrested over it because they've got safety nets and influence over enough people to make things either get ignored, or stall until they die of old age
Or they can have someone friendly win an election and then get pardonned
