SPG are... I don't know, they rub me totally the wrong way. I have this irrational hatred of them reserved for so few bands.

Immunity overall was such a gorgeous album, but I picked up this follow-up record the other week and have fallen in love ever since.

to be honest I actually only like the Fire, Fire song that I linked above, other than I can't really honestly say I enjoy their music

this shit go stupid hard

I don't really get it, it just sounds like Merzbow did the first half of the track and then Full of Hell does the other. I was expecting something closer to Masonna.

now thati 've been spinning this for a little longer now and i've had opinions on it other than the kneejerk first listen

i'm a little disappointed in retrospect, i was expecting for merzbow to feature more in the collaboration and i think a lot of other people have said this to be a problem they had with the album. there's like, three tracks where there is 100% an identifiable influence from Merzbow in Raise Thee, Great Wall, Bloodied And Terrible & Ludjet Av Gud & High Fells, and only two of them strikes me as particularly Merzbowlike since FOH has been doing noise pieces as intervals to the rest of their songs for a long while now. RT,GW,BAT sounds like it could have been an interlude from their previous album.

i'm starting to wonder if merzbow didn't just do some mastering work and call it a day here.

THAT BEING SAID: i do not retract my original statement of the album going hard as fuck, because it does, and i'll fight anyone who posits otherwise. i would go so far as to invite them to "meet me in the pit".

but that's enough of that, i was playing this in the car on the way home today

I love the guys voice and his anon3 beard, after watching most of their vids that they have up I almost feel like the lady has little to no part in any of their songs, but listening to the recordings on their bandcamp you can actually hear her voice and she sounds like she is doing something. https://coyoteandcrow.bandcamp.com/

Gotta hand it to Death Grips, they know how to fuck with their fans.

I know I'm shitposting, but it really is entry-level hipster shit and dad-rock.

Not that 90% of /mu/ is that much better, but as usual digg's format just seems to quash any unpopular discussion. I can actually find folks who wanna talk breakcore or noise or warm drone or whatever the fuck on /mu/ if it's in a good mood.

Saw Beardyman at Bloc festival a few years back, the guy is really talented (He did the same "song suggestion" from the crowd too, ended up doing a song in the style of Prince about picked eggs). Funny and intelligent in interviews, too.

I never thought much of his albums, though. The magic is kind of lost when you don't see him performing, he's a little too good in that regard.

My car radio/cd system blows so I am forced to listen to the radio on my drive to college (as in the cd player can 99% of the time never read cd's so it's not even worth the bother), the only good radio station around here is the oldies station and occasionally on a good day you can get "dad-rock tier" radio for 20 minutes. I'm generally into any music and lately I've found myself listening to lots of oldies and it's what I grew up listening to even though I was born in the early 90's. I've really only in the last 5-6 years starting to listen to other genres of music. I'd have to say that at the moment I love post-rock / progressive rock / Alt-rock / chill(wave). maybe you would say that this is entry level hipster shit but we all listen to music for different reasons : ^ ) http://www.last.fm/user/TheWiznard currently I have a shitty amount of plays but I find it really annoying to have the scrobbler not work half the time and my audio player stopped scrobbling and I'm too lazy to fix it

I went to an Oneohtrix Point Never concert awhile back and like 10 minutes in some girl tapped me on the shoulder and asked me if I was alone. I told her I was, and she immediately burst out laughing. She went over to her group of friends and they all started laughing at me too. I tried to relocate somewhere else but the laughter was spreading and eventually the entire crowd were pointing and laughing at me. At that point OPN abruptly cuts his set and asks what's going on. The same girl shouted "THAT LOSER IS HERE ALONE!", and he sort of just stared at her for like 30 seconds completely motionless with a blank look on his face. The crowd was silent too. Suddenly he snapped out of it, took off his Celtics hat and shoved it in his pants, and started barking at me loudly like a dog into the mic. Immediately the entire crowd starts barking and yipping like a pack of dogs. The people around me started scratching me with their nails while others tried to bite me and a few got on all fours and tried to sniff my ass. I turned toward the entrance and threw my beer at the crowd in front of me. They started going into a frenzy and biting each other. I took my chance and ran as fast as I could through them like a football player and laid in the parking lot crying for a couple hours. I could hear them barking the whole time. Once the show died down they each came out in a single file line and pissed on my face while I was lying there. At the end of the line was OPN, who, after finishing his piss, called me pissyface.
