Bottom post of the previous page:

Italy is no longer far-right. Salvini's nationalists left the government and a new coalition was formed between the populist Five Stars and the socdems. So the government went from national-populist to social-populist. We'll see how it goes...

The government was sworn in yesterday morning. Literally the first thing they did was challenge a regional law that was supposed to help deporting illegals.

Providing the Queen provided ascent for the law being put to her today, the prime minister is deploying a Blackadder'esque "cunning plan" to supply a additional letter to the EU explaining why "rogue parliment's" propopsition to extend is a bad idea and to make them reconsider. Else the EU will flat out refuse a extension (with a little traction from Macron, but he's notably all bark no bite with fresh yellow vest riots on his hands) and we head for no-deal anyway.

I think there will be riots at this rate if the UK isn't too sleepy, especially outside of London. Gotta draft dodge that EU army at all costs before we join Vietnam 3.

Where do you get this from? Do people really still believe the whole "the EU only wants the worst (no-deal exit) for the UK to send a message!" after all the shit that has happened? I mean, I wish it was like this because Britain absolutely deserves it, but actually the EU would love to unilaterally give them an extension so they can sort out their mess and ultimately cancel the brexit thing, it just can't happen due to political shenanigans so the UK has to be the one asking. Rest assured that once they ask (and they WILL ask before the october deadline) the EU will give them all the time they need to organize whatever they want (new elections, new referendum etc.)

My opinion is that people voted leave, and so they should leave
Going back on that just proves to the common man that democracy is a total sham and that their vote literally means nothing

one of the big things about democracy is that whatever one vote can decide to do, a subsequent vote can decide to undo

hence all the mad panicking and charging around over whether to allow that point-of-no-return deadline to actually pass, obviously the brexiters want to get us out and not have an election or follow-on referendum before enough of the public change their minds and do what democracies do

It's not democracy if your vote is ignored
Holding another vote, and then another, and another and so on until the people vote what the politicians want is the opposite of what should be done there. By all means have another vote. Have it after it's done and the UK has been out of the EU for a while

Then if people decide it was better before, they can vote to rejoin

At this point I literally don't give a fuck anymore and I'm spoiling my votes on everything so it can't be counted while the system's in the state it is. MPs don't want to take responability, everyone's talking past each other and the American political concept of soundbites has infected the mass media to the point that they're all just glorified talking heads. Also First Past The Post is still a thing and I will beat this dead horse until it is glue because I refuse to accept FPTP voting as a legitemate form of democracy in this day and age.

FPTP is not a reasonable way to vote
It practically guarrantees the votes will go in such a way that the majority of people will be displeased and encourages the politicians to attack the others rather than give reasons why they should be given a vote

"but this little girl needs a new hospital, not a different voting system"

seriously that's what was put on the leaflets during that referendum
the libdems wanted straight-up proportional representation (which is terrible for independents that aren't part of a party and tends to lead to hung parliaments, which would make them kingmaker as the no. 3 party so obviously they wanted it) but instead the referendum was for IRV, which is a straight-up better system for voters in just about every way, so of course the three major parties didn't want it and all campaigned against it

and then it came back to bite the tories in the backside when ukip got big enough to split the right-wing vote and farage was able to straight-up say "if you agree to change your policies then we won't compete with you in marginal seats"

if only we had a voting system where vote-splitting didn't matter and tactical voting wasn't necessary whoops

As it says, it's a worst case assumption
None of those things will happen unless government actively tries to fuck up things for petty reasons
We all know they would never do that, right?

Not that much of that sounds like it would be a problem, just the food and medicine stuff. So that's a priority. The rest is all very vague and a case of "We didn't take even the most basic preparations"

China has become a nazi state and I'm mad about it. They've got it all. Racial supremacy, concentration camps, secret police, dictator with a cult of personality, and an aggressively imperialistic outlook.

Why isn't the world pivoting away from China-dependency? This can't end well. I'm going to boycott Chinese products to the extent that I can.

They've been that way for ages
It's only becoming more obvious now that they're trying to expand even more

The world isnt going to go away from China either, because China offers them money and money matters more than morality for most, and as a second bit those in control of the west prefer to fuck about the middle east trying to start some more wars rather than deal with anything in asia

Less of a classical civil war and more cartel vs government, but I suppose technically the cartel members are mexican citizens so it counts

The Mexico thing already ended
They released the guy's son and the cartels only executed a few people instead of everyone

For completeness- It started because one of the cartel leaders' sons was arrested. Apparently this was his only surviving son. He called in a bunch of other cartels to help get him out and they basically marched into cities like an army taking over

They're communist by admission of their party name and stance, like how the Nazi's were democratic socialists before the night of long knives or Rome became a military dictatorship under Gaius Julius Caesar.

At the same time they couldn't be further from a 80 year old radicalised political movement or 1700 year old empire, so refer to them as who are they are, CPC pricks.
