I personally prefer imperial measurements for some things and metric for others. If I'm measuring something precisely (like for a diagram) I'll measure it in meters or mm. But if i'm estimating a distance, I'll do it in feet, easier to visualise for myself. Plus I've grown up with Mph, Kmph just seems confusing to me. I weight myself in Stone and pounds, yet I'd weight an object accurately using Kg/g.
Depends who you ask I guess, though I guess we'll slowly shift to metric as we seem to be doing.
